You guys punya routine zikir/selawat mcm mana? Mind to share?

Zikir - yang baik, baca SubhanAllahiwabihamdihi 100x pagi and 100x petang. Boleh baca lepas bangun tidur and sementara tunggu air panas. Lepastu one more time sebelum tidur. Kalau susah nak buat rutin, boleh baca setiap kali kita ada masa luang, eg masa tengah driving, stuck in traffic jam, tunggu orang, etc.
Selawat - takde rutin spesifik, just banyakkan baca on Fridays.

What does comfort mean for you?

Having family, good health, enough to eat, a place to stay, no financial debt, time for reading/writing, no undue stress.

Do you trust your instincts? Have they ever deceived you?

I do. They've been mostly right Alhamdulillah, except for times when I misread them.

What is the last thing you do before bed?

Depending on how much energy I have left: Read. Mull over the day gone by. Turn off Spotify. Recite a short prayer.

What is your favorite time of the year and why?

Spring and autumn. They're both transition seasons, and remind me of time passing and the possibility of change. Preludes to the next event.

What is the most played song in your music library?

Probably Mew's Water Slides, the Copenhagen Philharmonic version

What causes you to panic?

Being late. Missing deadlines. Having more work than time to complete them. To a lesser degree, public speaking. Mild panic: being set up.

Best pick up line you've heard?

Him: So when are we going to meet?
Her: I'm sorry - busy girl and all that, you know. Social plans never come through. How's the new job?
Him: I'll be heading a few projects, overseeing some construction work.
Her: Oh wow, that's great! Hey incidentally enough, I'm in the construction field too. So if you ever get yourself into a legal fix, you know who to turn to...
Him: So is that how I'm ever going to be able to meet you? Ok fine, I'll make sure first day on the job I'll screw something up, if that's what it takes.
True story.

What makes you most angry about your country?

That we could do so much better. That we have the capacity to be more than we are now, without needing to leave behind our history and values. That we have people who use religion as a tool.

What one responsibility do you most wish that you don't have?

Wow, great question. None. I'm content with all my responsibilities Alhamdulillah. Bak kata Muhammad Ali, "Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth."
On second thoughts, gosok baju.

Do your friends turn to you for advice? On what subjects?

Anything. Research work, career choice, family problems, friend problems, relationship issues, boy/girl problems, travelling tips, event-planning, places to eat, movies to watch, books to read..subjects are pretty wide-ranging

What movies do you watch in quarantine: about zombie apocalypse or with happy endpoints?

The zombie apocalypse. Tons of fun. And almost relatable.

How many languages do you speak?

Two, currently working on a third, and insya Allah will have long enough for two more.

What scientific fact do you love?

That some of the stars we see in the night sky are long dead. We're looking at remnants of the past.

What is one thing that happened in your life that without it happening, you would never be where you are today?

Leaving a comfortable professional path for the unknown.

Have you ever written a poem? If yes, what was it about?

The first poem I ever wrote was about a letter from an orphan child. I was 12. There's been a few others since then, about being a gypsy, about pain, so on and so forth, but I'll always remember that first one.

If you could go back in time to change one thing what would it be?

I wish I had volunteered to work in camps at a younger age, and not been so unsure of myself and my capabilities.

Which book has made you laugh aloud?

Public Enemy No. 2. Harry Potter books. Jonas Jonasson books. Hitchhiker series.

Would you rather go to a music festival, have fun and sleep in a tent, or stay home, watch TV series and have some tasty snacks?

Depends on the company, but sleeping in a tent sounds great right about now
