If this is a matter of trying to please someone or doing anything for them to like you. In reality you cannot get anyone to like you in that way. People may like the things that you do for them but that can never replace or be the motivation for them liking you. If it does seem that way it is false friendship or false love. We cannot force ourselves upon anyone in fact most of the time that pushes them away. If you are wanting them to like you in a more intimate way this method is even more damaging not only to them but to you. You begin to place false expectation on others when you want them to like you for the things that you do rather than who you are. If they do not like you just for who you are, you then put a false expectation on yourself to do better even though like you said no matter what you do it does work. What ever you are doing do it because you want to, not to seek approval from others. But do remember you cannot force anyone to like you or love you.
