If your plane was about to crash, who would you want sitting next to you?
Your mum. Yeah... that just happened.
What's a "special occasion"?
What an unusual question. Oh, actually, I've just realised this is related to the previous pants answer, you can see how it appeared to be quite weird as a stand-alone question.I dunno, I've not gone commando for years, it just seemed like a good answer. Maybe I've become tamed by the world of pants or perhaps there's just not been an occasion special enough?
What is your favourite type of underwear to wear?
Boxers for a normal day. Commando if it's a special occasion.
COGS OR POGS
Mogs
Cats or dogs?
Cogs.
Are you pleased there's two other tickets in the finance officer election?
Yeah, I'm a big advocate of competition. Of course, it would have been lovely to have been able to run uncontested but it's important we push people and having others run achieves that.It also brings out more ideas along the way and then if I do win I can steal the best ones and claim that I had been thinking of them all along.
If you could listen to only one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
You mentioned fund-raising in your last question - do you have a fund raising strategy? Also should finance officer be split off from fundraising and have two separate roles?
No, I don't have a specific strategy yet. This is something that I'll work on soon/if I get the role (although I'm still happy to help out if I don't).Yes, there probably should be a separate fundraising position in the future, there seems to be no real harm in having one and if it brings in more money then that's a massive positive.
As a 42 year old are you eligible to stand for election?
Am I going to have to produce my birth certificate? Does this make me the "British Obama"?
Why do you want to be finance officer? and what are you priorities?
I'm always quite uncomfortable standing for election, there's no real vanity about wanting to be "the winner" on my part, it just happens that you have to win these popularity contests in order to actually help out and make a real difference. I feel that Finance Officer needs somebody competent in the role and I'm pretty confident that I can do a good job of it.I have a lot of priorities but my top issue is making sure LY is on a sound financial footing and that any possible future financial changes won't cripple what we do. Some of that will inevitably come from tightening some budgets to ensure there's better leeway in the future but hopefully the bulk can come from better targeted fundraising.
blowjobs or handjobs?
The two needn't be mutually exclusive...
Do you prefer to be behind the camera or in front of it?
Depends what's being filmed? Probably behind...
Do you prefer chicken, beef or pork meat?
Chicken. Actually, lamb is probably nicest.
Are you middle class enough to have a favourite restaurant?
I don't really tend to have favourite things in general... I tend to see the pros and cons and wouldn't want to choose one over the others.
Alcoholic drink of choice?
Usually vodka and coke.Becoming pretty immune to it though so might have to find a new one. Quite enjoy pear and strawberry cider as well.
What's your view on manscaping?
Needlessly awkward
Are you outgoing or shy?
Depends on mood/sleep/company. Nearly always outgoing (and thoroughly obnoxious) when drunk though.
favourite colour
Used to be orange when I was young (hence why Michaelangelo was my favourite turtle), now I'm not sure. I'm quite taken with purple for some reason.
Freedom Week 2013.
I'd love to go but 1. I'm not a student, 2. it's a lot of time to book off of work, 3. even if I was a student I'm not sure I'd be adequately qualified to get on, 4. sitting through speeches whilst hungover sucks, I'd only really want to go to socialise.
Sweet or salty popcorn?
Definitely sweet. Toffee popcorn is the best but it gets stuck in your teeth more than microwave popcorn. I want them to try and find a way to make microwave toffee popcorn.
