How do you feel about the retirement age going up to 71?

It’s awful. Presumably the idea is to reduce the time between retirement and death, thus reducing UK state pension payouts (already the lowest in Europe).
The male life expectancy in West Dumbartonshire in 2022 was 73.
Which means an average guy there will have two years of retirement before they die.
Retirement after a lifetime of work should be something to look forward to and to be enjoyed. Pushing it to 71 is despicable.

have you ever eaten raw garlic on an empty stomach? it's very healthy, there are medical studies that it's a very powerful antibacterial and antioxidant and also prevents many diseases such as cardiovascular disease.

I’ve often used garlic cloves in cooking in the past, but not raw and not on an empty stomach.
I’m aware of the health benefits of doing this but I have preexisting gastric problems for which I’m medicated.
A side effect of raw garlic on an empty stomach can be heartburn (and the squits) which is difficult for me to treat on top of the meds for it I’m already on, so I won’t be indulging, personally. 🙂

I’ve a great cosplay pic of me in a Star Trek uniform holding a phaser to the head of a giant Pokémon character who was wandering about, and I’m gutted I can’t find it as it would have been great to attach here.
