I Wonder Where The Kitten Are

Felt like checking up on everyone I follow so, how are you doing? Anything special you've been up to recently? šŸ˜„

Doing ok. Still following up medical from my July trip to the hospital. I donā€™t think they know anything useful though. A test is scheduled for Jan.
Apparently, the ā€œprofessionalsā€ must not think it is anything critical considering the waiting time for appointments.

What do you do to try and keep a healthy diet? Like, to not cave into your cravings etc. šŸŒšŸšŸ„—

One thing I do to avoid candy, is to not buy them in bigger bags at the grocery store and keeping on hand. The only treat I keep in home is dark chocolate. Less sugar per serving than other chocolate candy.

Have you made your sunscreen debut? If not, when do you usually? ā˜€ļø

No. I donā€™t spend much time in the prime sun intensity during the day. Iā€™ll take advantage of things like an umbrella at a sidewalk cafe or similar.

What are you currently binge watching or have recently binge watched?

Iā€™m borrowing this from the general feed to share thisā€¦
Here is a recent adventureā€¦
I was at an undisclosed town in another state celebrating a birthday with a long term friend. We booked rooms at a hotel. By about 9 p.m. we were done and took rideshare to the hotel. The lady driving said it was her last run.
At the hotel, I tell my friend ā€œLetā€™s have a beer outside. See you at the front in 10 min.ā€
In my room, I was emptying my pockets andā€¦NO PHONE. Mild panic set in. I knew I had my phone in the rideshare car. My friend gave me his phone, and I started to login to Find my iPhone (nobody answered it when calling). Luckily, I remembered my password and it pinged. I drove, he navigated. There was no street address, just some cross streets. I used my vehicle nav to drive to the area. Finally, he says ā€œIt is on this street on the next block.ā€ I drove slowly, and there it was: The black VW we rode in. I stopped and said ā€œI hope that house is the driverā€™s.ā€ I gave him my keys in case I would be shot by the resident so he could get away.
There was a person on a couch. I knocked and asked for ā€œJane.ā€ She was the driver. We went out to her car, opened the back door. There was my phone making a noise stuck in the seat belt. My friend had activated it to alarm mode. I gave her $50 for her inconvenience.
This is something that a good friend of 30 + yrs would do. Risk getting shot in the ā€˜hood to help me find my phone.
Back at the hotel, we drank our beer by the AC unit outside laughing our heads off.

Say you were gonna sleep at a place with no beds, what would you bring to make yourself comfortable? šŸ›ļøšŸš«

TobbeAsksā€™s Profile PhotoTobbe
Is it the same place as @GlindaBells
Well, I would bring a cardboard box about the size to hold a toaster oven. When she finished setting up her airbed, I would briefly go outside then come back in frantically saying ā€œoh my, someone just abandoned a box of kittens outside.ā€ After she rushes outside to an empty box, I would plant myself on her airbed.
Iā€™m too heavy for her to remove me from the bed.
