If you could listen to only one music genre for your entire life, what would it be?

Probably grunge. Music has to have a utility to me, and I would typically listen to music to up my mood (like during a workout or to stay awake while driving long distances) as opposed to using it to kill time.

When and why did u join askfm?

Maybe two or three years ago. I joined because it seemed like an interesting idea - that random people could ask me random questions, or I could do so as well.

Worst thing about being ticklish?

I don't know, I'm not very ticklish at all. If you want to be less ticklish, you've gotta learn to relax.

not getting irritated by exclamations: "Every time I look, you always are in the web"?

I see the question mark, I just can't make an actual question out of the words you used, in the order you used them.

How can you tell if a watch is smart or stupid?

"Smart" typically refers to internet connected. So if the watch can connect to internet content (sometimes via a smartphone, sometimes on it's own) then it's considered smart. Stupid isn't a watch type (but dumb is).

How often do you tidy up your room?

I try and keep it tidy, but over time things build up and maybe twice a year I tackle it pretty hard to get everything back where it belongs.

Do you ever wonder what people really want from you?

No, not really. I mean, unless they explicitly ask me for something and then later say that's not what they wanted.

What's one thing you really want but can’t afford?

To live to be about 8000 years old. I can't afford the money or the time.

Can I get married at fifty with little?

Fifty years old? Sure. With little what, though? Savings? Income? Personality? Looks? I mean, it's possible, but it will depend on you, and coming to grips with the idea that there are no perfect people and no matter what, you will have to be patient with them and remain true to yourself at the same time. If you can't do that, then none if it will make a difference.

what’s one of your favorite quotes/verses from a holy text?

There was a time when I could have given you an answer to this, but frankly, with time, age, and experience, I realize that those things I once thought were profound are often pedantic and common. I have no favorites left.

If you had amnesia tomorrow, what notes would you write for yourself to remember?

It would depend on the type and severity of the amnesia. Are we talking "50 First Dates" or "Memento" style? Or are we talking a more functional "can't remember doing such and such" amnesia?

what other language can you speak?

None fluently, but I've studied French, German and Japanese. All have been may years without regular practice though.

If you could teleport, where would you go?

I was arguing with someone on Twitter about teleportation yesterday. I don't know the answer to that. If it was common, then anywhere. If it wasn't, would I have a choice?

Are your parents married, divorced or do you hardly even know them? How has it affected your life?

Married. I don't know, I haven't known any other way for parents to be. I certainly appreciate having them together even if they didn't always think so.

What can you endlessly stare at?

Nothing. After a while the nerves in your retina stop seeing what you are looking at because they are designed to detect changes in the visual field. Blinking, eye twitching and movement make things look like they are there and consistent, but if you stare without moving or blinking, everything goes away.

What’s one fashion trend you hope to never see again?

Mismatched colors and patterns. And maybe paisleys.
