What nonsense. The therapist doesn't seem to be sensitive and in tune with your feelings, by giving you a pat answer. Their response had no substance. It sounds like therapists I have gone to and wasted precious time with. If this happened to you, I would have gotten up and walked out of the session. You need to look for another therapist. Your future is full of riches? I don't want to be inappropriate and tell you what the therapist was full of. They should turn in their license to practice therapy. It reminds me of something I once read. An optimist is someone who tells you to cheer up when things are going his way.
