I am so sorry about your mom. I’ll be praying for her <3 How is she doing?
i got a lot of msgs abt this so i’m not gonna answer them all but !!she’s doing okay right now, i really do appreciate the concern. and the well wishes/thoughts/good vibes/prayers people have been sending her from what shes told me, it’s the worst shes ever felt in her life. she says everything hurts, it feels like fire fills her lungs when she breathes, her chest is beyond sore, her throat hurts, just everything hurts. she can’t smell or taste anything and it feels like cotton is in her ears. but she’s not at the point of needing to go to the hospital or anything like that. she’s about a week in, though, so we’re hoping it stays this way and that she feels better soon.
especially because it's only been 6 months since the first real outbreak in america...
i think we’re on month eight if i’m not mistaken butit’s still true. we’re not even at the year mark and 4x as many people have died of covid than they do of the flu.
I can't believe there are idiots like that anon that still say it's "just a flu".
literallyabout 36k people die from the flu every year. that’s from january 1st to december 31st every year. to date we’ve had over 150k deaths. that is over 4 times the amount of flu deaths. it’s no where near the same.
It’s not something serious though. It’s just like the flu. You don’t die from it unless you’re old
my mom currently has it, as does my stepdad. i lost a friend in august from it. and in april a friend’s eight year older daughter passed away from it. so if you want to believe it’s just like the flu then go ahead, but the numbers prove it’s not - at all.
because i don’t wanna die a painful awful death. because i’ve seen too many people get it and an upsetting number die from it. because like any illness, it’s not soemthing i just want to get if it can be prevented wtf
How are the kiddos doing and how are you handling school? I'd bet you're a great home school teacher 🥺
they’re good ! and it’s been quite the adjustment. trying to balance home life and school life while making sure to keep them separated has had its challenges. some days are easier than others, but overall it’s not too bad. i think we’ve gotten used to it for the most part. but i absolutely hate it lol. no part of me desires to be a homeschool teacher or anything like that. i won’t put on a front and act like it’s easy or that we’re having good bonding times. it’s stressful and time consuming as hell and i can’t wait for them to be able to return to school.
oH lmao. Google says: Outside North America, "cider" is always alcoholic. We have both apple cider (unfiltered apple juice) and hard cider, which is as dry and bubbly as champagne and as refreshing as beer. But in other parts of the world, cider is simply the boozy version. My bad lol
yeah it’s just hot unpasteurized apple juice basically haha
