/ firstly I just want to say that I don’t mean any offence by what I’m saying here but like if we want this place to work ( without ‘law and order’ provided by an admin ) we need to all be totally honest with each other about what we feel is the appropriate way to deal with this situation.

That being said, I think that coming to a unanimous decision would be helpful. The 2 month time frame is a decent idea. It’s unfair to hog faceclaims that may be used otherwise. Obviously this doesn’t mean that your character will be taken from you or disregarded but I think it’s fair due to this being a place to explore creativity and whatnot. It’s a fair shout to say that sometimes people are active on pages but not asks, but if that’s the case then it should ultimately bother them that another character is using that faceclaim as they won’t have to interact with them unless necessary. I understand the want to not share your faceclaim, as I’m like that with Skylar/Leighton ( despite sharing Vanessa due to not being on Chloe as much ), but at the same time if you aren’t actively using your character on ask it’s unfair for you to keep the faceclaim for yourself if it’s reached over 2 months as other people might have a character in mind with that faceclaim in mind ( we have to understand that there’s a lot of underrated faceclaims that cant really be used by people who want to be on ask due to lack of gifs or pictures ). This is the only logical solution, sure there’s loopholes such as people appearing just before the 2 month mark to put their claim back on the faceclaim, but this is the only fair way to get over this. If you have solid reasoning then by all means explain away, it’s understandable, we all have pressing matters but there’s no reason to be selfish if you know that you have a popular faceclaim that others might want to use but you simply don’t want to share. I think it would be fair for people to share at least one of their faceclaims ( like I have, and a few others ) since that will solve some problems but it’s not fair to make a character claiming a faceclaim, post a few things on ask, not bother with pages, and then vanish but then get frustrated because someone what’s the faceclaim or you suddenly reappear when somebody’s interested. If this solution isn’t solved logically, then I’m afraid that it will end up in a situation where anyone and everyone just picks up any fc they want regardless of others opinions or feelings. We don’t want to suffocate people with rules here but there needs to be some level of understanding that others might want to use a popular faceclaim. Stamping claims for the sole purpose of just not wanting to share ( and then vanishing ) is not okay and childish. This place was made free!verse with the opportunity for anyone to join, but that shouldn’t be abused nor be an excuse for the same admin to make loads of characters pretending to be different admins or such. I hope this is okay and I don’t offend anyone. :’)
