Bakit ayaw mo sa anti-terror bill?

The anti-terrorism bill is a clear manifestation of state terrorism, clearly gearing to attack and silence the critical individuals who are currently voicing out their dissent to to the current situation.

The vague definition of ‘terrorism’ in the bill is prone to misinterpretation and poor implementation, thus, problematic. Any suspicion is an enough evidence for anyone to be branded as a terrorist. Meaning, one can be arrested and imprisoned without a due process.

The government claims that the anti-terrorism bill should be passed to protect the people. The content of the bill is completely contradicting to our supreme law- the Philippine Constitution. Do we really expect an unconstitutional bill to protect us? The anti-terrorism bill is certainly an excuse to implement an undeclared martial law.
The anti-terrorism bill should be the least thing to be considered during these trying times. People are losing their jobs, striving to provide a meal or two for their families, and on top of that, a bill that will prevent individuals and different entities from speaking up and asserting their human rights.
