Technically speaking yes. Do I have a problem with it and would I make it known to everyone you were a snitch? Absolutely not. I have no problem with what you did and any burn out loser that would try to use the term in a negative manner towards you in this regard I would pick apart on morality. Now all that being said, if everyone involved is of consenting age, then I feel the school overreached, but hey, don't be a dumb ass and use your real name and try to convince EVERY girl you go to school with to send photos.
