By 'self-respect' i mean being a miser, and doing as little possible to keep people on your hook because the slightest hint of generosity is a sign of desperation. True respect is being a scrooge, caring about yourself to the extent when you don't care about others, and always doing less.

thing is i'm a single parent i do have the odd friend to disctract him sometimes but when i on my own with him and i need to go he says he needs to go too so i put him on the potty but i notice he doesn't go i cant leave him on his own yet i know your not a mother i just wanted to tell someone

Honestly, I don't pay enough attention to public icons or whatever to say.
when i need the toilet my son wants to follow me and he getting at that age when he's realizing i'm different to him and he just always wants to see me go and its worrying me out ive tryed to close the door and kept him busy with toys but hes more interested in what I'm doing what shall i do?
Tell him boys and girls go to the bathroom in different ways and have to use the potty separately. Have someone else distract him while you go to the bathroom.
