There's a parent who refuses to allow the sex their child was born as to be written on their birth certificate because that kid may decide they are non binary when they are older. Is that not pushing their own gender issues onto their child?
Kind of. I personally don't agree with that, but such decisions and actions only reflects a bit of parents past, maybe trauma and it's fine. Time comes and kids just know what they are. It's not like a child is being shown a birth certificate all the time and questioned about their gender. The world we live in is mad and every parent copes with it in their way, also introduces it to the child in their own way. We don't have to like or approve it as their actions are based on their personal experiences that not everyone gets to experience, so who are we to judge? We can only accept the variety and mind our own business.
