I am mentally in Madison, WI. I want to go back home, but I can't, so I'm super sad :'(
#99: I've recently found snoring can put a strain into a relationship. What would you do if your partner has snoring problem?
Oh, trust me, he has. When we were on our winter road trip two years ago, our friend (a guy) complained that he couldn't sleep because Aiman was snoring super loud. And don't get me started on how he snored whenever he dozed off in the car or something, 😂But I learnt to get used to it. His snores are pretty adorable at times lol 😂 and my friend and I found out that if he slept a certain way, the snoring is reduced so I'll definitely have to check out his different sleeping styles and see which one works best for me 😂
#98: If your loved one has turned into a zombie, what would you do? (imagine: Train to Busan)
Confession: I have not watched that movie. But, if he was turned into a zombie, I'd be one too so we can be zombies and hunt brains together. Kata iloveyou forever gitu, apa jadi dekat dia, kita ikut la. Tak gitu?
#97: Why does people bully other people?
(do*)I think it's mainly to hide their insecurities, either about how they look or who they are or how they actually feel around others. Most people bully (either physically or verbally or even cyber-bully) other people to build this image of themselves as a 'bigger' and 'better' person. They perceive themselves to be the one people look up to, that people adore or are scared of. They live off that admiration and fear and want to exert their power over people. Also, I think Zac talks about this well, didn't he? 😂https://youtu.be/y_RObDqbF0o
#96: Would you use dirty methods in order to uphold justice?
Define dirty. Also, justice is different based on how you look at it tho. From one end, you might think that it is fair and just for everyone to have equal opportunities to education, meaning same syllabus and same curriculum for everyone. On the other end, it may be fair but it may not be just for those who came from less-privileged backgrounds or have learning disabilities to be doing the same syllabus and curriculum as an able person. Your view on justice depends on what end of the spectrum you are, and also depends on who you are trying to protect / fight for. If it's a family member or a close friend, one would definitely do whatever it takes to get justice. But if it's a stranger, you can talk all you want about justice, but not many people would actually fight for it.
#95: What is the most ridiculous stereotype you've heard?
Asians love maths.Haha no.
#94: Would you take away and absorb other's pain? If yes, who would you do it for?
My parents. And Leo (my cat) who died a few years ago after two weeks of being in pain due to a blocked bladder.
#93: What do you wish you could tell your parents?
I hope you can be proud of me, even though I'm not as perfect as you hoped I would be.
Harap kak syaza tak post my previous spill. And answer here. Thank you in advance 😢 -ns
Hi kiddo.First of all, thank you for choosing me to spill your story. While I may not know who you are personally, I'm touched that you trust me enough to tell me and let me (try to) help you in any way possible.1) Keep the Befrienders KL number in your phone - 03-79568144 or 03-79568145 - for any emergencies. You may not need it, but in case something happens and you feel the need to spill and talk to someone, you can reach out to them immediately. 2) Since it happened twice already, I would recommend taking a time off and perhaps take a break for at least a few months or a semester/year. Take this time to relax, clear your minds, to calm down and recharge yourself. There is no point continuing in it if you feel like you can no longer do well in it.Yes, memang orang cakap, the road to success is not hard, and ramai je survive in your shoes with multiple failures and whatnots. But you also have to think of yourself, your mental health, your own health. Kalau you continue in something that will harm you - what's the point? So talk to them carefully, and discuss your options. Take that semester/year off, and then come back and start over again fresh. You are a disappointment only if you give up without doing anything or learning anything from it. You are not a disappointment in this case, since you are trying to reach out for help and trying to find a way out that can be beneficial for you. So do not worry yourself too much about it, okay?I've known people who studied the same thing, and went through the same thing. They stopped, took time off, and started over again somewhere with a fresh page. And it helps, to take that time off, as it'll give you time to mentally recharge and be ready for a new challenge. 3) Also, for now, find a few people around you that can be your solid shoulder. Someone to talk to, to cry on, to confide in. You'll need those pillars to keep you strong, to hold you steady. And don't forget, He is always there for you, so seek His help and guidance. 4) Stay strong kiddo. I know you can get through this. Remember, He wouldn't burden us with something that is beyond our capabilities, so know that you can get through this, and you will grow to be a stronger person after this.
Kak Syazaa. Saya ada interview through skype and this is my first time. Nervousnya 😭 any tips?
Hello :) Firstly, read this previous answer on interviews in general: https://ask.fm/syazanazura/answers/109797458258Second, watch this GH on interview prep: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaQ0zZnsehUThirdly; Specifically on Skype interviews:(1) Make sure you have good internet connection. Wired internet is better and more stable than wireless internet. (2) Make sure you will be having the interview in a quiet room. Don't do it in a restaurant or a cafe or a place where there would be people walking by behind you or loud noises or anything. Rent out a study room in a library, or use your bedroom or some places like that. (3) Also make sure the place you're having your interview at is clean (or at least have a clean background. No posters or pictures hanging in the background (except a simple frame, if ada pun). Don't let it be cluttered la because you want your interviewer's attention on you and not on the clutter behind you. (4) Headphones or earphones with microphone. Test it out first (Skype video call your friend or someone) to see if everything is working well. (5) Also test out the lighting and make sure your face is shown OK in the video (not too bright, not too dark). Adjust the webcam (or laptop) to make sure of this. (6) Make sure laptop is fully charged to avoid it dying out in the middle of the interview. (7) Dress up properly, as if it's a real interview. You may choose to wear normal pants / jeans since they're most probably going to see the top half of you (blazer, proper blouse/shirt, etc). (8) During the interview, speak slowly and clearly. Expect to have some disturbances that you may have to repeat yourself sometimes, so be patient with it. (9) Best to write down some info that you want to talk about, etc, and have the notes ready in front of you. Don't end up reading straight from the notes tho, just jot down quick info that you want to mention to them, or any questions that you would want to ask them.Best of luck! :)
Haven't we all?"I promise I'll love you, always and forever." "We're going to be best friends forever, I promise." "I promise I'll be here with you." "You're going to be just fine, I promise."._.
