I think marriage can be a wonderful thing, however the government has turned it into this bureaucratic and political bullshit, with the state basically trying to use it as a means to promote the nuclear family, rather than it simply being a celebration of commitment. Basically it's the state dictating who it deems fit to be married.
Though I'm on medical leave at the moment, when I'm on rota, I work some weekends, usually two weekends a month, one weekend I do the early shift, and the other weekend is the late shift. I LOATHE the late shift on any day of the week.
Do you need words of validation and appreciation whenever you do something for someone?
Not every time, but a lot. I'm definitely starved for recognition and, possibly to my detriment, desperate for appreciation and even acalades. Growing up, I watched people all around me earn awards and get celebrated, and I was always left out and even openly isolated by teachers for not being like the others. It definitely had an impact on my development.
It used to be Gordon Ramsey, but honestly he seems like such a cunt at times. At this point, I really don't see any chef that I'm interested in seeing or hearing from.
Short answer, no. Long answer, fuck no. The school system, at least in England, is woefully inept at preparing children for the future. The education system is not fit for purpose and needs an entire rehaul. I can't say I have the answers on how to fix it all, but I can definitely say from experience that my school days were literally the worst days of my life.
