Chris, have you had your eye on any up and coming companies? Any of them mention worthy?
I like the original Sorry YoYos Logo a lot. A lot of their marketing is kind of too edgy for me. The Ratchet plays well for a first release, Inner edges a little sharp for my taste. But ya not sure who else, I like that company that is doing all the 3D printed stuff. Wish their were more companies like them doing new and more interesting/risky stuff to push Yoyo technology further. - Chris
All these people asking about the return tops, buying advice, colorways, products, products, products........... Imma change it up. If you could have one, what superpower would you have?
The ability to always avoid production delays or problems, ha ha
How do you guys create so much hype around your products?
We don't.What we do is make the best product we can, and we make videos that we want to watch and we sponsor the players that we love hanging out and throwing tricks with. Because we're a small company and we can only make so many return tops at a time, other people create hype around them. So then our job is to make sure that our product and our team live up to the expectations of our amazing fans.
Anyone on the team listen to modern rock bands? Such as Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for my Valentine, Disturbed, Tool, Bring me the Horizon, Skillet, etc...
I really like Rush. Does that count? They're from Canada.
Never sponsored someone based on their instagram comtent, what about Riccardo
We sponsored Riccardo because he's an amazing human being and a tremendous creative talent. His IG content is only a small part of what a wonderful human being he is.
Just use yoyorecreation double straight bearings inside and everyone will be happy. You make a premium yoyos, why not putting a premium bearing inside rather than a bearing almost none of your players play with?
Everyone will be happy, except all the people who don't like those bearings. And all the people who are going to be really mad when our prices go up to cover the additional cost of those bearings. And when we put a premium bearing in, one that most of our team likes, everyone complained about that too. Our team loves CTX bearings! But apparently a bunch of our customers don't. Here's the thing - the bearings are removable. If you prefer something else you can just swap 'em out. There's no way we're going to find something that makes everyone happy. Best thing we can do is make sure that we're shipping out a quality product...it's up to you to customize it to suit your own preferences.
Can you give any idea on how many Fools Gold yoyos will be available next week? Was hoping to get a WM2 but won't be around when they go up Thursday night.
There are 28 Fool's Gold WM2, pretty much all ano problems. Of the other models, there aren't more than a handful of each.
Do you fear clyw getting too big? There is a very intimate feeling that I feel could be lost if clyw got to bigger then YYF size (no hate). I feel like this awesome service, the 3 or 4 employees, and the 'pretty much every clyw was played or touched by yeti, Chris, you, or chuck' would be lost.
There's a lot you can do with a small company, if you pay attention and work hard. CLYW is going to grow, no doubt about that, but we're going to make sure that it never grows beyond what it should be: a return top company run by and for players.
Unemployment rates among return top players seem to be high, yet they all buy expensive return tops on credit cards. Is debt an accepted reality of a currently economically distraught society, or is it more a reflection of irresponsibility?
Yeti! I challenge you to a syrup chugging contest! Meet me by the singing bush behind old man Chris's house! And bring your mommy so she can wipe away your boogies after you lose! Oh yeah!
You are going to lose, and then you are going to cry, and then Chris' mom is going to knit you a hanky to mop up your tears.
