What do you believe someone's taste in music says about their personality?

Paul
I think there is a definite parallel between people's personality and taste in music. A person who likes country is usually pretty down to earth. Someone who is into classical likes the finer things in life. A pop fan is fairly mainstream in tastes. Alternative music lovers think outside the box. Good question!

I only ask directions from men when I'm lost. I tried really hard to be PC on my last long driving trip, and asked both men and women, but gave in to the patriarchy as well when every women looked at me blankly.
And some men would (bonus) draw me little maps with exit numbers on them and estimated mileage! lol Is that the patriarchy? Cause I'm digging that. It's like they have a compass in their brains. Very helpful. xo

Women: You come home to find that your s/o is wearing your lingerie. How would you react? – A) You ask him if he’s a cross-dresser and/or gay. B) Ask him no questions and just ditch him. C) Feel smug for looking better in it than he does. D) Call the cops. E) Other?

I guess I'd ask about it, and if it was just a joke, or a one time thing, alright....but if he's really into cross dressing, then we're not meant for each other and it would be best to break it off.
I like manly underpants on a man, esp. boxers, like you wea...erm....*trails off awkwardly*

Do people have a moral obligation to research politics and then vote? Should the one that have little to no interest in politics refrain from voting and leave it to those who are interested?

Well, I'm of the thought that in order to vote, a person should know what the candidate believes in and stands for. Voting for someone because of their looks/race/gender/because they were funny on SNL....mucks things up for the rest of the voters who are serious about trying to put someone in office who will do a good job.

What do you think of homeschooling kids? It's always seemed like a bizarre thing to me, especially when children are older. Do parents have the skills or knowledge to adequately teach high school math or science? English? Art? Do you support homeschooling? Would you do it with your kids?

Would never, ever, do it. It's not good for kids to be socially isolated, brainwashed into whatever their parent chooses to believe and teach, and to never be exposed to ideas outside their own tiny world in which they live. It's not fair to the kids.
Hiya What!

Hello all. Would you be friends/date/employ/trust a woman with very old but visible self harm scars on the arms and chest? Am I doomed forever? Be honest I won't get mad (as long as people don't get verbally abusive) bc I asked for your opinion...

Of course I'd be friends with/hire/trust someone with those kinds of scars. We all have scars, it's just that some are inward and some are outward. :)
Hi Cupcake!

I've never gotten a tablet because I've seen them as nothing more than toys. However, since they are pretty cool toys one may warrant a purchase. I try not to do business with Apple so I'm leaning toward one of the Droid based ones and don't really know much about the Surface. Any recommendations?

All I have is my Kindle, so I have no basis of reference for you. It's not very useful for anything other than reading books and playing music and games. Unless I'm missing out on something fabulous it does that I don't know about.

Study: People fear male-named hurricanes more, even though female-named hurricanes have been deadlier. Is matriarchy responsible for this? Why? Why not? http://www.miamiherald.com/2014/06/02/4153696/study-people-fear-male-named-hurricanes.html Hurricane season started June 1st! Are you ready?

ThomasGWS’s Profile PhotoThomas
Really? Even after Katrina?
I looked it up, and from the early 1950's until 1979, all hurricanes were named after women. I supposed because of the women's rights movement, they started rotating with men's names then. But that wouldn't explain why one gender's name is feared over another.
No hurricanes here! We get tornados.

I was enjoying a frozen yogurt with a friend of mine the other day and the people at the table next to ours were talking about hurricane season. They were talking about how they hoped hurricane season was active so they could make good money cleaning up the aftermath of a hurricane. Is this evil?

ThomasGWS’s Profile PhotoThomas
If not evil, it's certainly maliciously opportunistic to hope to make money off other's misfortunes. :(
But then again, what of emergency room doctors? They make money off other's misfortunes, and help them "rebuild" in a different kind of way. I think though, it's all in the context, how they said it, and that their meaning wasn't really to help people, but to just profit. I guess doctors don't gleefully rub hands together about how many heart attack patients they hope to get in the ER that night. lol

Yo Glinda, quick, tell me something about your cats. I will read about your cats while eating lunch. :)

Cat #1: Currently has intestinal problems, so I am spending my time following him around cleaning up whatever is coming out of either end of him. *ruins your lunch*
Cat #2: Was rescued from a sewer as a kitten. (the one in the picture)
Cat #3: My kitten was supposedly part of a brother-sister duo who I was going to foster until they got adopted out, but the boy got adopted before they got here, so I only got the girl. I fell in love with her, so now she is mine and I will not be fostering anymore because I cannot be trusted not to keep them.
Hope that supplied enough info for you. If you want further info or developments on the intestinal issue, please let me know and I will send you updates. :)

Oh hey, did you know that I can't dance? Can we talk for a while?

Haha I thought this was a PDNP message and you had something you wanted to talk about....did you roll your eyes and mumble something about dumb blondes? Hmmm??? It's okay to admit it.
