What are you more terrified of: Clowns or Spiders

QueenLibra88’s Profile PhotoKIᗰᗰIE ᗷ
I had a pet Black Widow when I was young, if that predisposes my answer.
I'm not terrified of clowns, but who in their right mind would be one with the stigma of today's culture?

I don't know if this works without being grounded in faith in Christ, but,
Do something kind and altruistic for someone else.
If you have the faith part right it gives ultimate purpose for your life, and that's very encouraging to me at least when I'm down.

Would u walk away from a job if it was affecting ur mental health?..

pillsrgood’s Profile Photo*Frosty H3ad*
I'm not a fan of quitting, but if I was asked to compromise my integrity, morals or faith absolutely. Being cursed isn't worth any pay.
My current job is fine in my opinion, this is advice for someone else.

What’s your favorite Dorito chip flavor?

I like Doritos, but I'm allergic to corn products so I don't eat them.
My favorite snack growing up was chips and salsa so a lack of corn chips is a bummer.

Have you ever did a long distance relationship? If you didn’t would you?

If there was someone suitable in the US I would consider it.
I would want to meet them in person at the beginning though.

Is it hard being original...do u find that others copy u or try2..?

pillsrgood’s Profile Photo*Frosty H3ad*
I don't care about what other people are doing or aren't doing in terms of how I live and what I do.
I'm just doing me.
I am very unique.
However, if I encourage other people to be their best selves, or even encourage them to have faith in Christ (ideally), I count that as a win for myself.
I like positive feedback, but I don't need it.
I liked when I was writing and having a big impact from writing, but the vitriol is intense for people who don't march in line. I have chosen to pick my battles.
Encouraging people to have faith in Christ still matters, but the nation has gone to hell and I don't think it's repairable. Therefore for political matters and other matters of opinion that don't directly impact people's salvation, I think it's best to watch rather than influence.

Will lack of attention end a relationship?

illin_ahmed’s Profile Photo♡*:.。.ILLIN(*˘︶˘*).。.:*♡
Yes.
It ended a while back anyways.
Reality is just setting in.
I have my reasons why I am going separate ways.
Faith is above everything else, and I don't want my soul united with a soul that worships Satan. I believe in Jesus.
As I've said 1000 times now.
Just listen and go away, or hear the silence from lack of attention and pay attention to that for once. It means something.

Are you too picky for love?

FreshICYGirl’s Profile PhotoBe Yourself Always
Probably.
I long to find someone similar to me first in beliefs and then in intellect, but the attraction has to be there at least somewhat too.
That's just about impossible. I'm an anomaly. Unless I was famous enough to find another anomaly from the US at large, I think I'm not going to find what I envision.

I'm going to share some scripture to illuminate the human condition and the ultimate choice we must make.
It is my hope that you will find everlasting life in what I share. I firmly believe it is true, and the test and our answer is the meaning of this life.
I hope to share the truth of an almighty God who created the universe as well as you and me. We are separated from God because of the curse of sin. God desires a personal relationship with us, to adopt us as his sons and daughters through the act of Jesus marrying the church after redeeming us out of our broken condition.
It is the ultimate story of redemption. Jesus, fully God, putting on human flesh and living a perfect life as a human on earth, then dying on the cross in our place, taking our sins upon himself so that we can be made right to God by being covered by the blood of Christ. Christ became the ultimate High Priest (a mediator between humans and God the father), knowing the trials and temptations of the human condition yet being a perfect example, so He could both have mercy on us and show us the way to restoration with the father, and through restoration, eternal life.
According to scripture:
JB- God's plan for us is abundant life:
John 10:10b
(Jesus Speaking) "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
JB- But sin separates us from God's kingdom and a right relationship with God. We are naturally in a broken state, the curse of sin:
Romans 3:23 NIV
"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"
Romans 3:10-12 NIV
10 As it is written:
“There is no one righteous, not even one;
11 there is no one who understands;
there is no one who seeks God.
12 All have turned away,
they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.”
JB- The result of sin is both mortal and eternal death:
Romans 6:23a NIV
23 For the wages of sin is death
JB- Without Christ we have no hope:
John 3:18 NIV
18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

JB- With Christ we can be made right with God, for eternity:
Romans 6:23b NIV
23 but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
JB- Heaven requires only perfect sinless people be in the presence of God, who is by nature perfect. Without sacrificial atonement, we have no right to be a part of God's kingdom:
Romans 5:8 NIV
8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

JB- Acknowledging Christ itself is the start, but isn't enough. We must be transformed by making Christ's ways the way of our life by making Christ the Lord of our life:
Mark 8:34-36 NIV
The Way of the Cross
34 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.35 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it.36 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?
JB- Declaring Christ as Lord and believing in Him with our heart is sufficient to allow the Holy Spirit to work in us, redeem us, and transform us:
Romans 10:9-11 NIV
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.
JB- God will work within us if we call on Him:
Romans 10:13 NIV
13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

JB- God desired to reconcile us with Him. The entire point of Christ living on earth as a human, than despite being perfect, dying a death on the cross, was to reunite us humans with God and provide a way to experience the love of God.
John 3:16-21 NIV
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

JB- The story of the Gospel: The Good News: Salvation through God's grace. It isn't our perfection that saves us, but Christ's love for us. Through this story, we'll have an incomparable story of God's richness for us, if we acknowledge Him as Lord and Savior
Ephesians 2:1-10 NIV
Made Alive in Christ
2 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins,2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath.4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—9 not by works, so that no one can boast.10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
JB- In order to be part of God's kingdom, you must be born of the Holy Spirit and receive the mark of the Holy Spirit.
Physical Baptism is the symbol of claiming Christ as King, and the symbolic request that God give you The Holy Spirit for your own life.
John 3:3 NIV
3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
JB- There are no other ways to a right relationship with God than through Jesus Christ:
John 14:6 NIV
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
JB- If Christ died for you and you accept that sacrifice, you try to live as God requests:
2 Corinthians 5:15 NIV
15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
JB- Jesus desires to have fellowship with you. He's knocking at the door of your heart, but you must receive Him to experience the love and friendship.
Revelation 3:20 NIV
20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
JB- So what is The Good News? God desires to have a personal relationship with us in a redeeming and perfect love that can't be found anywhere else.
It is the story of light and darkness, and the story of life everlasting.
If you want to accept Jesus as Lord of your life, please reach out to me and I'll try to connect you with a Bible believing church.

Did you have a valentines date?

robert_pinon’s Profile PhotoRobert Pinon
Not me. I've been very single.
I chose Jesus as my Lord.
I desire Christ's kingdom over comfort or pleasure in this life.
I realized in the last few years, maybe in 2019, that Christ and my former pursuit were diametrically opposed.
A house divided cannot stand, so I chose Christ alone.

What’s your dream car?

silver_syrup_1’s Profile PhotoSome Guy
I think for maximum utility my dream car would be maybe a F-350 with a clubcab and no dually - ie 2 tires in front and 2 tires in rear with most options and optional 4 wheel drive. I could self move by pulling a large uhaul trailer with this if I needed to move from contract job to contract job every year or 18 months. For a while, I was finding lots more opportunities that were like this than local opportunities. I'm glad I can stay local and practice electrical engineering at my current job - this is more from years past than this year.
For high utility and more comfort, maybe a Chevy Tahoe.
I also like Toyota 4Runners somewhat.
For a daily driver with low utility beyond a car to get from point a to b, maybe a Honda Accord or VW Jetta.
In terms of high performance cars, maybe a Chevy Corvette specked out with the mid mount engine of the latest generation.
What my next car will be in reality - maybe a used VW Jetta diesel that's 10 years newer than the one I'm driving at the moment - hopefully with a manual transmission.
In terms of gas mileage and energy efficiency, from a total systems energy perspective (including generating efficiency, generating losses, power transmission losses, power conversion losses to charge a battery, battery storage losses such as thermal and leakage current, chemical conversion effiency, power conversion losses to convert energy from a battery to power at a wheel, and so forth), Diesel engines trounce electric cars in overall energy efficiency.
They also don't require as much refining as gasoline.
Sure you see increased emissions at the point of use, but from a systems perspective, diesel is extremely efficient and clean. It is also 30% more energy dense than gasoline, per unit volume. That means the expense of moving a unit of diesel energy versus a unit of gasoline energy is much lower for fuel distribution.
Diesel is also much safer to handle since it's less volatile than gasoline. Diesel is much less likely to explode in an accident.
Because diesel is less refined, it leaves the impression from point of use that it's dirty. From a systems perspective, that's the furthest from the truth.
I prefer diesel engines to gasoline engines, if a diesel option is offered.
