Card is the most common most places. Though, there is still a fair amount of cash transactions too, but those off sales are shifting more digital (swipe/NFC payments).

I have a plan for a zombie apocalypse, but it doesn't kick in until after most people panic. Interim plan is a lot like my pandemic plan - shelter in place for now. I would do OK in such a scenario, generally speaking.
