ofc i don't agree with letting an animal suffer (like i said if you're providing your animal w a comfy life you're doing a good job). i personally could never justify spending more than a thousand on an old-ish animal bc we don't have money. i don't think that means we shouldn't get to have pets!
I agree that as long as the animal is being taken care of, that is what matters. But sometimes that costs money.
I wasn't referencing pets that are already old and dying. I was thinking more along the lines of sudden accidents and illnesses
