You and your spouse are visiting maternity clinic to check on your first child! However... doctor had found the child might have severe disability when he/she born. 1. Would you keep the pregnancy or abort it? 2. What would you do if your spouse wanted the other option?
That depends on what type of disability it is, and whether or not I think we would be able to survive/cope with it, or if there are any medications / cure for it or anything to fix it or at least make it better.
I'll also definitely consult my father (a gynaecologist) about the severity of the disability, and what he thinks of it.
As for what my spouse wants, and if it's different from mine, we'll definitely have a discussion about it, and figure out what's the best option for us, depending on what my dad's recommendation, the doctor's recommendation, the pros and cons (i.e. having a kid is a pro, but putting him/her through suffering, etc) and what we feel about it as a couple.
