Hold up.....do you actually think that gifts can only be given with strings attached. Seriously, you don't give someone a gift with the expectation that they will gift something to you. Like, you dont buy someone a birthday present and then hand it to them and go "now you have to do something for me". So if you gave me a gift of $50 for Christmas, there would be no strings attached in the first place. Because although it's a nice gesture, I am not required by any law to gift you something in return.
