I wish people would stop using "antisocial" to refer to someone who isn't social. The correct word is "Asocial". Antisocial is literally a personality disorder, an antisocial person is basically a sociopath.
Antisocial has a couple of meanings.
“Contrary to the laws and customs of society; devoid of or antagonistic to sociable instincts or practices.”
“Not sociable; not wanting the company of others.”
Antisocial personality disorder is a personality disorder. A mental health issue.
Asocial is the same as a person with antisocial personality disorder.
“Avoiding social interaction; inconsiderate of or hostile to others.”
An introvert is the correct term that I would rather be called. Not Asocial.
