In the light cold of day,
As the sun rays make their way,
A shadow looks up from down below,
My conscience springs up to now say:
"do not go there, do not go low,
remain, please, with me stay."
The scorching heat makes me run,
as the skies stretch with the sun,
I feel bothered and rather stressed,
years ago, this was once fun,
yet my life is oh so blessed,
blue meets green, they make one.
The day now looks set to close,
with little fanfare or much prose,
it sang to me with much gaiety,
but like me, without sorrows,
gentle tenderness.....
my eyes will shut and sweetness follows...
