The child in Him? (Based on true story)
This was almost a year being in a relationship with him. She was unable to figure out the reasons for his unusual silence, sometimes extreme rude attitude, getting upset over little things, when in a good mood smiling like a child, being happy on little things.
She never questioned him for this attitude but she always got worried thinking that he was egoistic and someday this would effect their relationship. So all she did was being more of a friend than a girlfriend/partner (whatever you prefer). She thought this way he would feel like himself and even more secure opening up. Luckily that worked. Whenever they meet up they acted more kiddish than adults. She never step aside and equally joined him in all immature acts. They rung bell of almost every house while running through some street or punctured tyres of motorcycles, sometimes fought over a cotton candy or ice cream, cracked jokes, disturbed other dates. He felt live every moment he had with her together.
All this worked and soon he felt very home-like, comfortable and secure and then one day he opened up. After listening from him she felt extremely helpless but happy at the same time that she finally explored the little child in him whose confidence shaked due to some mishap, whose innocence was spoiled badly, who was cheated at the time he couldn't even understand what a heartbreak was. The child couldn't grow up because he hid himself somewhere in the dark.
Tears dropped out of her eyes. This wasn't a loss but a victory. All she had to do now was to raise his confidence and this could be done by unconditional love she already had for him. She held his hand tight and pulled him out in the light. Then told him that his past had no power over their beautiful present and bright future. She also assured that she have always had the best out of him and his past does not matter to her at all and she was always ready to face it if it happens to stand infront of them.
Finally he felt very lively and happy. He had someone who loved him for who he was, who accepted his past, his weakness, his flaws and scars and loved them all equally. Years after that he happened to cross that same person who once broke him for a moment he could not move and kept looking spellbound. Just then someone held his hand tight, looking into his eyes. In no time all that fear was gone and they both walked together. This was his girlfriend that was now a wife.
Everyone has a hidden child in him/her. Look out for them. Their anger, rudeness, tears, jealousy is all somewhere a fear they had lived with. Find that out and life would be beautiful. It's not always that men are egoistic, sometimes it's something that keeps breaking their inner-self and because they are less expressive and are taught to be strong they seem egoistic.
