deep question here, hakim, thank you for asking. I don't believe in the "death of God" notion, because I wouldn't be alive if Our Creator didn't exist. this is a pre-conceived notion because some people (depending on their lifetimes and circumstance), can't and won't believe in God due to said circumstance. which is sad, because God is so loving, kind, and forgiving.

for me, religion still provides me with the meaning of life. regardless of my circumstances, I turn back to my Maker when I'm at my lowest, and I constantly remind myself to love my Creator every time I find a little bit of joy in my life.

I fall in love with God five times a day, every single day, which is why we muslims pray. we pray regularly to remind ourselves that hey, we may have a lot of qualities, traits, and material wealth but all of this is On Loan from our Maker. nothing on this earth belongs to us. my qualities are on loan from My Fashioner, and at any point in time in my life, God can take it away from me.
