يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ زَلْزَلَةَ السَّاعَةِ شَيْءٌ عَظِيمٌ (1)يَوْمَ تَرَوْنَهَا تَذْهَلُ كُلُّ مُرْضِعَةٍ عَمَّا أَرْضَعَتْ وَتَضَعُ كُلُّ ذَاتِ حَمْلٍ حَمْلَهَا وَتَرَى النَّاسَ سُكَارَىٰ وَمَا هُم بِسُكَارَىٰ وَلَٰكِنَّ عَذَابَ اللَّهِ شَدِيدٌ
اے لوگو! اپنے رب سے ڈرتے رہو۔ بیشک قیامت کا زلزلہ بڑی سخت چیز ہےo
جس دن تم اسے دیکھو گے ہر دودھ پلانے والی (ماں) اس (بچی) کو بھول جائے گی جسے وہ دودھ پلا رہی تھی اور ہر حمل والی عورت اپنا حمل گرا دے گی اور (اے دیکھنے والے!) تو لوگوں کو نشہ (کی حالت) میں دیکھے گا حالانکہ وہ (فی الحقیقت) نشہ میں نہیں ہوں گے لیکن اللہ کا عذاب (ہی اتنا) سخت ہوگا (کہ ہر شخص حواس باختہ ہو جائے گا)o
