Haven't been to see her much the past couple of years but talked regularly until recently because dementia set in. She was my only nan. my dads parents died before I came along. he lost them young. My nan preferred my brother to me but she was a good nan :) Thanks for all what you said btw .
Its okay I didnt realise something I'd say would mean this much to someone..until now anyway. Awh poor women:(! My nan and grandad on dads side both lost their parents when they were toddlers..and they've been together since they were 13, they're now 68& 69

Don't say sorry because what you wrote about them is lovely. She is in a better place I know and I don't cry in front of mum; it was her mum I stay strong for her. She had a good innings but I wish she'd gone in her sleep and sooner (sounds nasty but she had no life these past several weeks).
I know what you mean..its not nasty at all, im sure you have a sence of relief in that case too& I know I felt like I couldnt cry infront of my mom when her dad went away:(!
Im close to all of my grandparents now..but my other grandad is really ill, hes still going strong though:D!

That's kind of you liking some my answers. I find your ones about your best friend, your nan and grandad really touching. My nan bless her passed away this evening and now she's with Grandad. I think that's why your answers are making me cry.
