So its official, I've seen Gibson Les Pauls go up by £1000 in my lifetime. What the actual fuck...just...lost for words. You got anything to say on the matter? Other than you should have bought 20 of them back in 2000?! But seriously, its kinda disgusting when you consider the actual inflation...
Hello Levi! What is a musical octave? Can you explain musical octaves on the guitar too? Thanks!
Have you listened to Linkin Park's The Hunting Party? Do you like it?
I've not heard it yet, but I hear I really need to!
What's the heaviest, most badass riff you've ever heard? A ridiculous question but why not!

Thoughts? He claims he's not a jazz player, and this vid shows the importance of knowing how to play over chords? I think it takes a lot more than just chord knowledge to play like this (ignoring technique), and he sounds like a pretty good jazz player
Is Nuno the next cover star?
.... yes..... but SHHHH! I totally didn't tell you that! ;)
What's your opinion on Bryan Baker? He's a great player but he seems stylistically challenged? Like, he did the classic rock/indie thing, some ambient sounding jazz stuff, some more exciting jazz, now this metal band. All of these things have always just been a bit meh to me. What do you think?
Any tips on how to play like Joe Bonamassa? Pentatonics and lots of blues just doesn't seem to cut it. Help? Thanks :)
Could you recommend someone that has sort of the same funk-rock rhythm playing style as Nuno Bettencourt?
Is there anyway I can ask you something that doesn't fit on Ask.fm's character limit? Don't worry, you most likely will not have to respond with "book a skype lesson with me". I just need a musician that I respect to talk to right now
When you've learned something, let's say something theoretical. How do you like to 'refresh' it? Do you like to get it out to a practical example, do you like to go through it in your head, even talk out loud & act like you're explaining it to someone (I like to do that..).
Have you ever tried drugs? Which ones?
I have, only a bit of E, that's it. Aside from that I've never even smoked a cigarette!
Do you ever hear a musician that gives off a sense of arrogance/narcissism on their chosen instrument. I think of Jordan Rudess or Rick Graham imo
I'm just glad you didn't say me! hahahaI guess I know what you mean though, I'd say I feel the same about someone like Marshall Harrison though I don't know if that's because I've heard him speak. It would be interesting to know if we still held the same opinions if we only ever got to hear them play eh?
http://ask.fm/LeviClay/answer/120198236873 Oh come on, mate! I have many doubts about those questions I sent you, and you might be the best person to answer. I didn't ofend you or whatever, I just made simple questions, this is Ask.fm right?
It is, and I'm not offended, but this is a page for everyone to ask questions and they take my time to answer. So given the choice of answering "What soloing options do you favor over a 7b9?" and "how are CDs transported to shops, in planes or trucks?", assuming I'm pressed for time, I'm going to answer the one that people will get the most out of.Please don't be offended, but if someone wants to ask me 30 questions, I'd suggest a skype lesson where I'm happy to talk about anything, from what food I like to who burns CDs
Does Tom Monda offer Skype lessons? If so, how can I contact him/details?
He sure does. He's on tour at the moment, but when he's back you can Facebook him :)
Why are albums released first in a determined region, for example, Japan on the day 5th october and in USA day 6th october and in the 7th worldwide? Why aren't albuns released in the same day for every place and everyone?
You really have gone to town with the questions tonight haven't you? I can safely say these won't be getting answered in one go, this is Levi Clay's ask.fm, not your ticket to avoiding going to music business school :P
So, that ol' Gibson hiking their prices by 29%. Oh dear...
Madness!!!
http://ask.fm/LeviClay/answer/120167761353 But you can see it in the context of the phrase! Why did I just came out of nowhere saying: "Be Prepared for Hell"? It most be joking...
because (to be fair) you asked it anonymously and I get a lot of religious nuts on here
Whats andy james like in person?
As bald as he looks!
http://ask.fm/LeviClay/answer/120150447817#_=_ I didn't like what Nick Granville said about me on the facebook when you shared this answer. He said: "Good response. This person clearly has a few screws loose!" Why doesn't everybody realizes that I'm joking with you? Ignorant people -.-
Because jokes are hard to put across in text form unless there's an obvious punchline ;)
