Hi Levi, I've recently been getting into hybrid picking and find myself 'pre-empting' notes played by my right hand fingers as I will kind of tuck them under the relevant string before having to play it. I get the feeling that this is a somewhat lazy habit that I should get out of. Thoughts?
Can you tell us a bit about that Tele? I'm curious as to what year and what that neck is like? (Radius and profile). You get a great tone out of it. What strings and action setup do you like? Thanks for answering these!

Arrrggghhhhh I hate that so much too! Periphery and Animals as Leaders and Scale the Summit are not jazz fusion! Why are people so blinded? I think having a respectable knowledge of music history and styles is something people don't strive for nowadays - even though it's more than available to them!

If you are looking to write some heavy stuff, I would reccomend periphery, heavy with a fusion Twist
The album "Cowboys from Hell" by Pantera. It's a such an amazing album in my opinion. It has incredible guitar riffs and solos by Dimebag Darrell.

What, in your opinion, are the most essential fusion guitar recordings that everyone should listen to? Could be someone on an album as a sideman or a solo CD or a band - just has to include some perfectly executed fusion guitar playing!

Not so much. I have a couple of albums and I learnt some many years ago, but I was never into the really heavy side of metal, so while they have some moments that I think are awesome, they also have a lot that bores me.
I really enjoyed Richard Hallebeek's playing in a video you posted like yesterday or something? Talk about underrated! I've kinda seen his name around before but never really mentioned as a player. Gonna go an buy his music now, so thanks for that!

Just to let you know the audio for your last vid didn't work? Anyway, how can you control the volume independently of different fingers when hybrid/fingerpicking? Like I can play everything loud or quiet, but can you say make some loud and others quiet? EG for chord melody stuff? Please help? THX!
