Hi Levi, I've recently been getting into hybrid picking and find myself 'pre-empting' notes played by my right hand fingers as I will kind of tuck them under the relevant string before having to play it. I get the feeling that this is a somewhat lazy habit that I should get out of. Thoughts?
Can you tell us a bit about that Tele? I'm curious as to what year and what that neck is like? (Radius and profile). You get a great tone out of it. What strings and action setup do you like? Thanks for answering these!
Arrrggghhhhh I hate that so much too! Periphery and Animals as Leaders and Scale the Summit are not jazz fusion! Why are people so blinded? I think having a respectable knowledge of music history and styles is something people don't strive for nowadays - even though it's more than available to them!
Is Nuno the next cover star? After his overreaction and ignorantly insulting every person who has studied music, I don't think I like him much anymore.
Is it weird that a large majority of you questions have been from me?
I'd be super impressed if that were true as I have 1100 of them! hahaI can't comment though as you're anonymous so I have no idea who "me" is....
Are you a Viking?
yep
If you are looking to write some heavy stuff, I would reccomend periphery, heavy with a fusion

The album "Cowboys from Hell" by Pantera. It's a such an amazing album in my opinion. It has incredible guitar riffs and solos by Dimebag Darrell.
http://ask.fm/LeviClay/answer/116126677705 Some time ago, you said you were Atheist! But now you say "Oh CHRIST No"? How can that be if you don't believe in that shit? hahahah xD
Did I capitalize it? I didn't use it in reference to a person, I used it in the same way someone might describe a situation they don't like as "gay". They're not suggesting that they think what has happened is in any way homosexual, it's just a turn of phrase. If I'd said "Oh Christ no!" then you might have a point! ;)
What, in your opinion, are the most essential fusion guitar recordings that everyone should listen to? Could be someone on an album as a sideman or a solo CD or a band - just has to include some perfectly executed fusion guitar playing!
Who knows? When we have a bit more money! All donations to leviclay88@gmail.com:P
Do you like Pantera, Levi?
Not so much. I have a couple of albums and I learnt some many years ago, but I was never into the really heavy side of metal, so while they have some moments that I think are awesome, they also have a lot that bores me.
I really enjoyed Richard Hallebeek's playing in a video you posted like yesterday or something? Talk about underrated! I've kinda seen his name around before but never really mentioned as a player. Gonna go an buy his music now, so thanks for that!
Hahahah absolutely not! While I don't have the paralysing fear of them Robyn has... I do think they're pretty disgusting!
Have you ever kissed your fiancé's feet?
No, she hates feet
If you could give an Oscar Award for Best Movie, to a movie that never received an Oscar, which movie would you choose?
Well first I'd have to know (and care) about which films did or didn't receive an Oscar!
Cheers dude, that was really helpful. A lot of what you said makes sense, but I was watching Martin Millers vid (fly me to the moon) and his dynamic control is incredible. I mean I know he's basically the best guitarist that's ever lived lol but I was hoping there might be something to take from it?
Just to let you know the audio for your last vid didn't work? Anyway, how can you control the volume independently of different fingers when hybrid/fingerpicking? Like I can play everything loud or quiet, but can you say make some loud and others quiet? EG for chord melody stuff? Please help? THX!
Hi Levi. If you could make a 4 members band, what vocalist would you choose, what rhythm guitarist would you choose, what guitar soloist would you choose and what drummer would you choose? Thanks.
Is true what they said about the Bogner amp model you have back there? That it brokes all the time and it's kindda hard to fix? Do you ever have any problems with it? Thanks.
