I don't think think anything can melt it. Burn it, sure. Disolve it? Yeah. It's just not in a solid state from a liquid, so I don't think melting is something that can be done to it.

Depends on what you mean by "exotic". The places I'd consider are places that few people would ever go, but I grew up in small towns, traveled solo for a while, and spent a good deal of time in coal mining Appalachia, as well as art communities and Native reservations.

Depends on the room. I am more concerned with being in a particular temperature range when I sleep than how heavy the blanket is. I can sleep just about anywhere or anyhow so long as I'm not too hot or cold.
