it has to be a balance of both. you can’t have one without the other. I will repect a stranger but not necessarily love the stranger, but were talking about a relationship. In a relationship “love” is the foundation, so Love and Respect should meet in the middle. The one that you love is a person- a human being. As a basic courtesy from a human to another human is Respect regardless if you love that human or not. So that makes love and repect essential in a relationship. -xoxo
