People give up because they can't handle the loyalty and honesty that comes with a relationship. They aren't ready for full commitment.

I wouldn’t say they give up that easily, I know people who have been dating their significant other for years but for those that have ended I feel like they end because of cheating but I’m not sure. And some humans are very selfish nowadays especially with COVID too.

I wouldn’t say selfish. I’d say more and more careless.

Because most people get infatuation and love mixed up. Infatuation is that happy giddy emotion you feel at the beginning of a relationship and most people get hooked on that emotion. When things get tough that feeling does fade, so most people think the relationship is not doing well and bail than trying to work through the problems.

depends. sometimes people just end it because the relationship isnt working out or they fell out of love with the person.
