Not unusual, but not common. Most of the people I know do not own a firearm but are OK with them.

I think late 20's to early 30's seem to be a good range. There are people who will be perfectly happy getting married younger, but I don't think people should marry before they are adults.

Honestly, just don't be a... jerk. There are other things you can do (positively) that will make your experience better, but if you can hit the bare minimum of not being a jerk (even when others are) then you're going to OK.
