Are most homeless just people who are not motivated enough to change their lives?

I have a thing/rules about homeless people:
1) don't look down on them or treat them bad. It could be Jesus in disguise
2) why rack your brain trying to figure out if you're being gamed or if they are simply not motivated enough. If they got the heart to live outside/brave them elements and/or ask for money; they got 1 up on me (or you): God forbid I became homeless. I'd panic and not have the heart to do either of those things.
3) to answer your question, yes. I do believe some people give up on life's hustle and bustle. But they all have a story! I was friends with a homeless man in my neighborhood who has dreams of being a country singer. Had a Reverb account and faithfully uploaded his work. Lived under a bridge and loved living like that 🙏🏽
He also won a large sum of money on a lottery scratch off and knew JUST where to broker the ticket to get his money quick
