Well in our society public displays of affection are frowned upon,
In our religion we aren’t even allowed to touch the opposite sex,unless we marry them first.
But sad reality is even married people are hesitant to show affection to their spouses in front of others.
I am cool with modest displays of affection like holding hands or hugging etc infact I encourage it but not with indecent ones like kissing in public.

Why do some people stay in relationships that they know are toxic?

Well in most cases they have been treated so poorly all their life at home that they consider tolerating the toxic relationship better than their past experiences.
They lost a lot of good years of their life staying loyal to toxic person because they think that they don’t have any other options & out of fear that what would people say.
So it is better to stay single until someone actually compliments your life in a way that makes it better to not be single.If not,it’s not worth it.
You can leave a toxic relationship but if you don’t heal what attracts you to them,you will meet them again. The same demon just in a different person.
