First I try to understand their problem(very quickly) and my response is usually laughter because this whole disrepect garbage has gotten out of hand. I don't care if you are passing me by and "disrespect me" I don't know you and your opinion of me does not matter. If someone is being aggressive and getting in my personal space or especially a friend's space then it is time to say excuse me may I help you with something. Hopefully it turns the right direction and fighting is not neccessary.
