Which modern technology would you consider most useful and why?

This is so hard to answer because "modern technology" is such a broad term... But to answer your question I'm going with the internet. The internet has opened so many doors. It's so useful to everyone and for everything. I mean... just imagine a day where the internet crashes around the world. Imagine the chaos. Many people depend on it for important stuff. I, for example, depend almost entirely in the internet to study.

What is your biggest "I've never thought of that in that way " moment?

a_questioner’s Profile PhotoA questioner
I have a lot of "I've never thought of that in that way" moments in church while listening to preaching. I'm lucky enough to be a member of a church that has amazing trustable preachers. So the last "I've never thought of that in that way" moment was last Sunday. I'll try to explain as best as I possibly can.
So the preaching revolved around Matthew 16:13-18.
13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
My "I've never thought of that in that way" or "I never would've thought about it that way" to be more specific, focuses con verse 18. Jesus says "you are Peter". Peter comes from the greek word "Petros" which means "loose stone". Then, Jesus proceeds to say "and upon this rock I will build my church". What is this rock then? Rock comes from the greek "petra" which means "rocky, firm, strong base that resists construction". So Jesus said, "you are Petros and upon this petra I will build my church".
Again, what is this rock then? If you read and study the context of Matthew 16:13-18 you'll understand this conclussion. --> The confession that Christ is the Son of the living God is the rock upon which the church will be built.<-- The only rock upon which the church can be built is Jesus. To make this confession one requires wisdom, faith and courage.
I hope this was a blessing to you as it was to me.

First impression of this girl? https://youtu.be/BJkI0AvX0Dc

Girl, this is the second time you send me this question. I do first impressions in my head. I say out loud what my first impression on someone is, is if I become good friends with them and build trust with them. Just then, I'll tell them what my first impression on them was. I don't see this happening anytime soon so please stop with the spam.

I'd tell myself to be more appreciative of my family and friends. To think hard before I say anything. To keep calm and have patience. To demand and expect respect from all people.

The Cask of Amontillado
by Edgar Allan Poe
(published 1846)

THE thousand injuries of Fortunato I had borne as I best could, but when he ventured upon insult I vowed revenge. You, who so well know the nature of my soul, will not suppose, however, that gave utterance to a threat. At length I would be avenged; this was a point definitely, settled --but the very definitiveness with which it was resolved precluded the idea of risk. I must not only punish but punish with impunity. A wrong is unredressed when retribution overtakes its redresser. It is equally unredressed when the avenger fails to make himself felt as such to him who has done the wrong.
It must be understood that neither by word nor deed had I given Fortunato cause to doubt my good will. I continued, as was my wont, to smile in his face, and he did not perceive that my smile now was at the thought of his immolation.
He had a weak point -- this Fortunato -- although in other regards he was a man to be respected and even feared. He prided himself on his connoisseurship in wine. Few Italians have the true virtuoso spirit. For the most part their enthusiasm is adopted to suit the time and opportunity, to practise imposture upon the British and Austrian millionaires. In painting and gemmary, Fortunato, like his countrymen, was a quack, but in the matter of old wines he was sincere. In this respect I did not differ from him materially; --I was skilful in the Italian vintages myself, and bought largely whenever I could.
It was about dusk, one evening during the supreme madness of the carnival season, that I encountered my friend. He accosted me with excessive warmth, for he had been drinking much. The man wore motley. He had on a tight-fitting parti-striped dress, and his head was surmounted by the conical cap and bells. I was so pleased to see him that I thought I should never have done wringing his hand.
I said to him --"My dear Fortunato, you are luckily met. How remarkably well you are looking to-day. But I have received a pipe of what passes for Amontillado, and I have my doubts."
"How?" said he. "Amontillado, A pipe? Impossible! And in the middle of the carnival!"
"I have my doubts," I replied; "and I was silly enough to pay the full Amontillado price without consulting you in the matter. You were not to be found, and I was fearful of losing a bargain."
"Amontillado!"
"I have my doubts."
"Amontillado!"
"And I must satisfy them."
"Amontillado!"
"As you are engaged, I am on my way to Luchresi. If any one has a critical turn it is he. He will tell me --"
"Luchresi cannot tell Amontillado from Sherry."
"And yet some fools will have it that his taste is a match for your own.
"Come, let us go."
"Whither?"
"To your vaults."
"My friend, no; I will not impose upon your good nature. I perceive you have an engagement. Luchresi--"

do you know any joy that you experienced a day before but still can feel it?

a_questioner’s Profile PhotoA questioner
I have. I've been to 3 cruises already and it happened every single time. Every time I got off of the cruise, I could still feel the soothing floating movement in my whole body for about 3-4 days later. I could be simply walking around my house, when I suddenly felt like I was in the cruise floating in the water. It's great. lol

what are some joys that come really cheap?

a_questioner’s Profile PhotoA questioner
Going to church is such a great joy (except if you choose a wrong one to go to) !! And it's free too. Having a good relationship with God is the greatest joy of them all. Only one who has experienced it could understand.

I'm not about to write a poem or anything. But looking at the picture I think that... whenever one reads a book, it's literally like one enters the world in the book. It's a world the author has partly created. The other part is created by you. :) I love reading books. Sadly, I haven't read one in a while. :/

an explanation to my previous question:It is possible that you may leave something undone and later as you analyze things,it might seem so beneficial for you, have you experienced this kind of situation?

a_questioner’s Profile PhotoA questioner
This question is the continuation of this question: http://ask.fm/sharurix/answers/141781755238 . As I said, I can't really remember a single time this happened to me. Unless relationships count? When I was 13- 14 I was in a relationship with a bad kid. I ended the relationship after countless times of crying myself to sleep and having my face all swollen because of it. A lot happened. I didn't understand at the time... but now I know that's the best thing I could've done for myself at the time.

"they say, 'yes you will suffer.'
but they don’t say, 'but you will also experience the deepest of joys. you will experience the births and deaths of the greatest of loves. and the sun warming the blood within your skin after the coldest of winter. and the rain against your window will sing you to a peaceful sleep. and you will awaken some mornings in the arms of someone who will love you most of all. there will be moments when your soul will gleam so beautifully, even the universe will bask in your happiness. yes, you will suffer. but you will be happy beyond your wildest dreams. and that will make every second of the suffering worth it.'
they should say that. because it is that balance that makes us beautifully and softly human." - nikita gill

can you share a picture and write your thoughts about that?

a_questioner’s Profile PhotoA questioner
Instead I would like to share several pictures I've taken in my phone and accompany them with quotes. I've asked the people I follow for quotes they love. I'll be sharing their quotes and I'll be tagging them in my answer. I have pictures that have been stuck in my phone ever since I took them and I think they should be shared. I think the quotes and tagging the people who shared them with me would be a nice touch. I'll be posting one per day. I hope you enjoy them. :)

what beautiful thing attracts your attention all the time amongst people and you would never want it to end?

a_questioner’s Profile PhotoA questioner
I love seeing old couples together enjoying their own company. Sadly that's not so usual? Maybe that's why I love it so much when I get to see it. I never want that to end but the divorce rates are getting scarier and scarier.

Thanks for asking me about "War Room." Have you seen it and what are you thoughts on it?

Yes I have and I enjoyed every minute of it. It inspires you to become closer to God. It's great for the whole family to watch together. That's what I did.

Has anyone ever told you something that wasn't meant as even remotely insulting but you took it as such, sort of? My boyfriend just told me that, because I hate (American) football, he was surprised to learn that I know what the Superbowl is. -_-

Lol it surely has happened to me but I can't think of a specific incident right now. It reminds me of backhanded compliments. When people compliment you and then say something after that ruins it because you take it as an insult... I hate when this happens.

Wild animals in captivity solely for selfish and egocentric entertainment and "gold digging" purposes. I can't and I won't keep quiet about it (unless I feel like I necessarily have to).
Tilikum, a killer whale kept in captivity for his whole life after being captured and separated from his mom and family at 2 years old, exposed to stress for the rest of his life and enslaved to work in exchange of junk ocean food died about 2 days ago. He is finally free. I hope to see the day when all killer whales in captivity join him in his freedom.
Oh and, did I mention I absolutely HATE SeaWorld? :) That's right.

Do you think Christianity has a role to play in politics?

"even tear has a purpose in life,it washes around face on preparation of coming smile."What is your purpose, goal in life?

a_questioner’s Profile PhotoA questioner
My purpose in life is to become a Doctor in Veterinary Medicine, help and save as many animals as I'm capable of. I believe this is God's plan for me. And if He said so, He will do it. He will help me. My life motto? Colossians 3:23. I will live for Him and with Him at all times. I will speak about the great things He has done with me. I will help in spreading the gospel and I hope I'll be willing and ready to go wherever He wants me to go.

which famous person fascinates you with their life story and why?

a_questioner’s Profile PhotoA questioner
Nick Vujicic because when he had every reason to hate God, he still chose to have Him as his Savior and Lord. He makes any complain of mine look like if it was spoken by a spoiled ungrateful child. He makes people look at life from a whole different level.
Also, Bethany Hamilton for similar reasons. I recommend the movie "Soul Surfer".
