Well it really depends sometimes friendship can lead to dating, that's happened to me, but once you cross that line there's no real chance of being friends again if you break up.I learned the hard way, because there's too much feelings left over, either both of you can't handle it or one or the other can't handle it. Idk some exes I've seen are able to stay friends after breaking up, I've tried that and it's never really worked out, wish it did cause after everything you've been through together it's sad that you have to lose that person from your life totally just cause you broke up dating. Personally if I have a good friendship with a guy and I fell for them it may take me a while to want to be lovers because I know it'll ruin the friendship. Another example I was good friends with this guy but I didn't like him romantically but he happened to fall for me and stopped being my friend cause he couldn't handle the friendship. It's sad cause when you have good friendships with the opposite sex it could change in the blink of an eye and you lose them as a friend. Or if you are really good friends and do decide to date then hope that it last, that way you can have a best friend and a lover which is probably the best feeling in the world. Really it depends on how two people feel about each other and what they're gonna do about it. Feelings get complicated. That's my view on dating/friendship.
