Why do you describe knowing about MGTOW as unfortunate?
The whole point of groups and philosophies like this is to increase equality etc, but in practice they are counterproductive. The all end up favouring segregation of various groups thanks to the in built human tendencies towards tribal behaviours. It always comes down to "us and them" thinking.
True equality and civilised society has absolutely no need for such ideas, because we are all "us". What pisses me off isn't the groups and ideas themselves, but the need for people to create them in response to arseholes and primitive thinking. The arseholes of the world don't want certain people to be part of their collective, and by seperating ourselves into feminist or LBGT communities (as an example, not singling them out) we are doing exactly what the arseholes want.
Now before some of you lose your shit at me, I know this is just how the world works and these various groups have to fight hard for basic human respect and equality. We're supposed to be living in an age of enlightenment, we shouldn't need groups who advocate for equality and more often than not, justify themselves.
It may also occur to some of you that a male centred group seems a bit ridiculous. However there are men who feel they are held to unreasonable definitions by women. We are all different, we all need slightly different things. We all need to stop acting like dicks, give respect to get respect. When we finally meld all these groups into one, we;ll be the majority and it'll be the arseholes and bigots on the outside.
