مجھ پہ کیا گزری ہے یہ تجھ کو خبر تھوڑی ہے
ڈر ہے جو مجھ کو بھلا تجھ کو وہ ڈر تھوڑی ہے
میرے کاندھوں پہ کوئی تیرا یہ سر تھوڑی ہے
اب تو بنتا ہے مرا گرنا ہر اک ٹھوکر پر
اب تری مجھ پہ وہ پہلی سی نظر تھوڑی ہے
تجھے نیندیں ہوں مبارک، ہو تری سحر حسیں
تیرے خوابوں میں بھلا میرا گزر تھوڑی ہے
کیسے نادان طبیبوں سے پڑا ہے پالا
جہاں ڈھونڈیں ہیں مرا دل وہ ادھر تھوڑی ہے
عشق نے مار دیا، مار دیا، مار دیا
شور مت کیجے کوئی تازہ خبر تھوڑی ہے
شہر لٹتا ہے لٹے میری بلا سے صاحب
ابھی آباد کوئی میرا یہ گھر تھوڑی ہے
رنج، غم، درد، ہجر، ہنس کے اٹھا لیتے ہیں
ہم نے اک اس کے سوا سیکھا ہنر تھوڑی ہے
دست و پتھر سے بھلا کیسی شکایت ابرک
کوچہِِ جاناں کو یہ غیر کا سر تھوڑی ہے

Every woman has a past. Some were physically abused. Some had violent parents. Some had pubertal issues. Some had sexual abuse as a child from their own family members. Some had messed up love stories. Some had been forced into sex in the name of love. Some had been drugged. Some were date raped. Some had been viciously photographed on bed. Some had been blackmailed by their ex-boyfriend. Some were in an abusive relationship. Some had menstrual problems. Some had a broken family. Some had a divorce. Some had an obesity issue. Some had financial droughts. Some had drug or alcohol addiction. Some had a few unsuccessful suicide attempts.
If you see a woman, who went through any of these but had already wiped her tears, tied her hair up, masked her sorrows with a divine smile, stood tall and strong, started walking towards her future because she still has some hope left inside her and has not given up on the concept of love that still exists in this world, do not stab her with her past. Do not confront her. Do not slap her with more abuse. Give way for her and walk beside her. May be hold her hands and walk for a while. You'll know how sweet that soul is and how strong her hopes are! You'll be amazed at how she carries herself after all her energy has been sucked out.
She need not always be only the woman next door or from a different home. She could be your own friend, your own sister, your own wife, even may be your own mother.
Do not judge her by her past. Gift her the peaceful future that she deserves. Hold her hands against the world, which knows only to judge. Give her the love that she always yearned for..

ذکر شب فراق سے وحشت اسے بھی تھی
میری طرح کسی سے محبت اسے بھی تھی
مجھ کو بھی شوق تھا نئے چہروں کی دید کا
رستہ بدل کے چلنے کی عادت اسے بھی تھی
اس رات دیر تک وہ رہا محو گفتگو
مصروف میں بھی کم تھا فراغت اسے بھی تھی

مجھ سے بچھڑ کے شہر میں گھل مل گیا وہ شخص
حالانکہ شہر بھر سے عداوت اسے بھی تھی
وہ مجھ سے بڑھ کے ضبط کا عادی تھا جی گیا
ورنہ ہر ایک سانس قیامت اسے بھی تھی

سنتا تھا وہ بھی سب سے پرانی کہانیاں
شاید رفاقتوں کی ضرورت اسے بھی تھی

تنہا ہوا سفر میں تو مجھ پہ کھلا یہ بھید
سائے سے پیار دھوپ سے نفرت اسے بھی تھی

محسنؔ میں اس سے کہہ نہ سکا یوں بھی حال دل
درپیش ایک تازہ مصیبت اسے بھی تھی!

Dekha palat Kay us ne k hasrat usse bhi the
Hum jis par mit Gaye thy Mohabbat usse bhi the
Chup ho gaya tha dakh kar wo bhi idhar udhar
Dunya se meri tarah shekayat usse bhi the
Yai souch kar andheray galay se laga leya
Raaton ko Jaagne ke Aadat usse bhi the
Wo roo diya tha mujh ko pareshan dekh kar
Us din halan k meri zarurat usse bhi the
Un patharon k sath nebhani pari usse
Jin say FaQat muJhe nahe nafrat usse bhi the!!
