what is co-boarding? is it as expensive as boarding? what are the benefits and challenges to it? i'm trying to figure out if i should buy a horse or co-board
You "rent" the horse and have. Limited times to ride a week and its great to grt extra rides in the week :)
the last time I rode was in May and I really want to start again but how do I bring it up to my parents and ask to ride again because last time they said we don't have to do lessons and stuff and ughhh :(
I have a horse on trial atm and he is basically perfect but he has a bone chip in his hind fetlock from being over worked as a youngster, he is basically fully sound on it but sometimes doesn't quite track up properly with it, should I buy him?? x
If you're concerned get a vet pre-purchase exam! I think i would get something sound though if you plan on working him hard
So yesterday at my lesson we were jumping and I got into 2 point WAY ahead of him and we crashed through the jump and he fell to his front knees (thank god he got back up and was fine) but I feel absolutely TERRIBLE as it was all my fault. Any tips for confidence? :))
Well it was both of you guys don't blame one or the other! It's happened to me before and the horse was not confident at all! But i tried to help him get through it and sometimes he would jump great! Other times he would crash so it depends! Just keep working together the best that you can!
