What jump saddle/dressage saddle do you have? And opinion on cheaper saddles like M. Toulouse/ones that are 1-2k or just ones that aren't top brand like CWD or Devocoux? Is it really worth it to spend that much for the top brands?
I have a luc childeric! honestly you get what you pay for and I would suggest finding a cheaper used high end saddle that fits your horse

I ride an x- 1.30 horse but now shows 1.10 with my trainer I do with him 0.90 and same as my co boarder is that okay to keep him in shape. We jump at home 1 meter or a little more

Cont... Riding. Him for a while and now I am back riding him but I am just also nervous and scared on him. Do you think it is possible to just not get a long with a specific horse in general??
Yea i think obviously people can lose confidence or not gel with a certain horse but it's good if you can put in an effort to try to figure out what kind of rider the horse needs so you can be a team when you ride him!

I used to ride a mare named Kara and I had fallen off her a lot and had even broken my arm but I really wanted to get back on right after it healed. She switched barns so I don't ride her anymore but I rode a new gelding and he was good until he got kind of crazy and acted up so I stopped cont...

Probably a 5 it was alright but no where near where I wanted it to be!

HELP! I get super stressed at shows when I can't find things and stuff. I am pretty neat...but how do you stay organized at shows?? I usually do get a tack stall btw. Any tips/tricks would be much appreciated :)
Bring a big bin to keep everything in once place ;P
ok im not trying to brag at allbut my parents have a lot of money.ill be honest but they choose not to put it twords horses.i have been riding for 10 years and i am 14 and they just said they dont want the responsiblity and i have spent so much time to prove im ready.they just treat it like a joke:(

clippers or scissors if you're super careful!
Any advice on a horse that is really strong towards and after a jump even tiny ones
put poles before and after the jump to encourage your horse to slow down and chill out!

I like the facility and the layout and the fact that it has outdoor board and my coach and barn manager are great! I don't like so much that it's quite busy at times in the indoor and there's no one I can ride with really

How do you do a flying lead change
it's all about changing your weight when the leg is about to do another stride! so if you're cantering left you have to sit in the left stirrup and put that leg behind the girth, open the right rein and have a good feel of the left leg so the horse wants to swap leads because the weight change was uncomfortable!

There is a horse that is 12 and normally jumps 2'6" but in 2012 jumped 3'6" do you think it might be possible to jump her 3'-3'3" the only thing is she gets her hocks injected every year. But she is in good condition.
I would play it by ear and see how it goes! I mean if she seems eager to do it then I would probably stick around 3' :)

Yes I trim his whiskers he's never had a problem with it and he's extremely well associated with his surroundings!

What made you choose English when you first started riding? Just curious:) I have been riding western since I was about 3 or 4, and am really interested in jumping, it seems so fun!! Me and my friend have jumped her horse a few times and I think I could actually pull it off!
Well my parents signed me up for english lessons but I did do some western b-day parties and I didn't like it as much at all!

depends on the colour of horse but go for white, black, navy, brown, grey (something neutral)

How would you describe your position over the jumps? How do you do it; if that makes sense? Do you just wait for the jump, sit up and get into position? Depending on the horse?
I think I try to sit and then lighten my seat to prepare to the take off and then I go into fetal position BAHAA

Well see if the sellers will throw in some tack and blankets etc! But if you buy brushes and saddle pads gradually that would be good, also consignment tack stores are always great!

The person would be my jumping coach I've had for the past 4ish years! The horse would be Danny a very hot and nervous thoroughbred that taught me to be a very light and sensitive rider I learned a bunch from him! and I don't really know the most valuable but all the lessons I've learned have been very valuable
