but anyways, here's the thing:
- you have to learn how to shoot a head voice properly. i noticed that you tend to produce a slightly off note than what it's supposed to sound like. try practicing the only head voice parts, and then after you figured out how, sing the whole part.
- you have to learn how to control your power. it's not that you use too much power, but you're actually holding in too much. let your power go. and then, tame it.
- this one actually takes some time (and by some time i didn't mean it literally, it actually takes more than just a week of intense practice), but you need more dynamic and progress in your voice, in order to make yourself able to deliver the whole message from the song perfectly to the audience. get into the song, and feel its ups and downs.

pretty lame because i woke up an hour late than the time i was supposed to be awake at, hence i missed the one and only subject schedule in my university for today.
then spent my whole day practicing with my colleague for freshmen recital on the upcoming friday, and the nicest part of the day was when i went to do live streaming at http://halloshow.com just a few hours earlier, which was precisely at 06.00 p.m.. The theme today was "The One(s) Who Got Away", yes I was talking about Kris, Luhan and Jessica (and also S.M Entertainment) for the entire two hours of airing, plus doing people's requests of songs that they wanted for me to sing, chatting with the audience during the petite chances of time, babbled out a little bit part of my life and also accomplished my mission to sing all of the songs in the setlist i've planned to put out for the audience to hear.

she's hilarious l m a o especially her catchphrase "waddo"; yes, it's just a simple "waduh", what makes it hilarious is that she always speak it out in padangnese accent. she isn't even padangnese. oh and you know when you meet her, your mouth just will never stop speaking. she's a total conversationalist.
oh and she's a goddamn major sweet-tooth! she can never leave a day without enjoying any sweet treats for at least once.
and when a delicate person are rare to find nowadays, a good thing she exists to become one. she does something for the people in need, and that's what makes her different from any other people who only care, but don't even do a thing to change it.

pas banget topiknya, tadi pagi aku sama orangtuaku abis ngobrol tentang childhood aku.

dulu papa aku sering perform, either choir atau vocal group. dan kalo lagi latihan choir di gereja aku sering dibawa.
lagu pertama yang aku nyanyiin itu lagunya sherina (aku ga inget waktu itu aku nyanyi lagu yang mana) dari album yang covernya foto b/w sherina pake baju sama sepatu serba kegedean itu loh. waktu itu aku belum masuk TK.
kalo ga salah inget sih, aku pertama kali denger lagu"nya pas lagi jalan", trus aku suka, jadi orangtuaku inisiatif ngebeliin.
jadi aku langsung ambil kasetnya dan duduk di lantai sambil mantengin combo playernya muterin kasetnya. trus aku nyanyi-nyanyi sendirian aja di kamar. waktu itu aku mikir, "ini nyanyinya udah bener belum ya", inspired by how my dad used to lead his choir team.

tadi pagi kita lagi review salah satu performance aku di handycam, trus mama komentar, "ini ga ada fals ya". papa bilang, "dari dia kecil juga sudah begitu, musikalitasnya sudah bagus, ingat gak dulu dia sering nyanyi-nyanyi lagu sherina di kamar?" and then he added as he snorted, "kan dulu dia dimana-mana nyanyi mulu, kalo di bus selalu nyanyi kenceng banget". and i was laughing and went like, "hah, masa sih?!?!" dan he explained, jadi dulu pas aku masih tinggal di jakarta, kalo lagi di tempat umum pasti mulutku langsung otomatis kebuka dan nyanyi. ga peduli lagi di bus, di kereta, di trotoar, everywhere. sampe mama nambahin, "iya dulu kamu kalo nyanyi" di kereta kan kenceng" diliatin orang" tuh, nah kamu diliatin bukannya malu malah makin heboh kepalanya ke belakang" kayak lagi konser. trus orang pada nanya, 'aduh, pede banget sih bu anaknya' trus mama bilang, 'ya memang begini mas anak saya.'" #teampasrah

dari pertama kali aku berhasil dipaksa ikut kelas vokal sama orangtuaku dan akhirnya duduk di dalam ruangan les, aku mulai merasa, "kayaknya aku mau jadi penyanyi". dan statement itu terus berkembang sampai sekarang hingga berubah menjadi, "aku harus jadi penyanyi".
i feel like i'd be really devastated if anyone has ever told me to stop doing what i love doing, because i've tasted a little bit of that reality, once. and i find singing easier and lovelier than any other occupations the world has got to offer,

so there's this legendary quote saying, "if there's no History, there'll not be me". thanks to Yoo Young Jin the genial music composer of EXO's History, that shit has gotten me deep. you sir, you had convinced me with those catchy bass and beats you had put into to rush myself out to check the whole first mini-album from EXO and voila, their music sucked. in a good way. damn it Yoo Young Jin.

i still can't believe i have discovered this kind of boy group because dang it man, their faces made me feel like i've found a treasure chest full of diamonds served right out just for me. i mean, their looks are just ++++++. #nowplaying - can't take my eyes off of you

not as weird as BTS, but they all still grab my attention. from the super emo-grungy Zitao to super annoying and talktative Baekhyun (yes i only mention out the name of my biases lol), everything's there. and combined with their appearances, no wonder they got a massive amount of fans as what they're having now, because all of those combinations has made the members up into variations of favorite types that match a lot of fans' liking.

i'm talking about Growl era here. how can we not talk about it, though? their fashion is just A+. i love those look on their bodies. they just matched.

EXO is a hardworking group, no doubt. i'd took a further look into some of the members' background stories, and they're all inspiring. i don't think i need to name 'em, though, some of them are not in the group anymore.

Well.. my audition number was 6159, I sang Ariana Grande's Baby I and everybody wasn't allowed to sing alone in front of the queue, particularly on the x spot they put in the middle of the room, but to sing while standing in the same line with another awaiting participants facing the camera. And basically, we were given a max. time of 2 mins. to impress the judges, but the fact was that all the 19 people that I've seen got cut after singing less than 20 secs... the good thing was that they didn't cut me and waited for me to finish my whole song, and after that, one of the judge told us, "to everyone except 6159, please leave the room." and there I was told to stand on the x spot and sing once more and it has to be a different song from the previous song that I've sang to them. And honestly, I didn't see it coming because I only prepared one song so I just sang (((another))) english song out of the blue which later I thought I shouldn't have done it but with a korean song, but then the not-so-good thing again was that I didn't get to finish the second song and they only told me a, "thank you." period. I was dazed by their reactions and I couldn't figure out their expressions, so after all the point is, I really have no idea at all:-)

Tapi kemarin-kemarin, masih fresh from the oven, gue habis membuka grup gabungan seluruh angkatan ekstrakurikuler vocal group SMP gue dahulu, memang anak-anak angkatan gue di group itu sudah pasif banget dan yang lebih banyak meramaikan itu anak-anak tiga angkatan yang belum graduate, tapi anak-anak junior almamater saat ini merespon semua hal di group dengan sopan banget, "terima kasih ya teh" "iya betul seperti itu aa, hehe" ya Tuhan gue agak kaget gue kira udah gak ada lagi yang kayak begitu sekarang. Gue memprediksinya sih itu mungkin terjadi karena memang dari jaman gue dahulu masih sekolah di sana sampai sekarang, kesopansantunan memang ditekankan banget dan cara guru-guru meng-approach-nya pun baik, sehingga respon murid juga menjadi baik. Tapi kembali lagi, kalau anak-anaknya batu ya mau dibilang apa, dikasih tau juga akan susah.

Bingung juga cara mengatasinya, karena kalau mereka moralnya jelek pun yang rugi ya mereka-mereka doang (dan ya orang tuanya perhaps), jadi gak ada hal yang bisa dijadikan acuan juga. Cara mengatasinya mah ya balik ke diri masing-masing, punya rasa malu gak kalau generasi mereka punya kredibilitas buruk seperti ini?

Hallostar family juga unik-unik kalau sedang airing, ide-idenya ada-ada saja. ada yang membuat show dengan konsep segmented yang seru serta memiliki catchphrase shownya sendiri, ada yang suka bikin show edisi horror night dengan bergaya ala vampire, ada yang beatbox sambil nyelipin kalimat-kalimat curcol sama tebar-tebar pesona ke anak-anak perempuannya orang yang baru masuk ke room shownya, ada yang #dance4lyfe dengan kandungan aegyo yang sungguh begitu tinggi kadarnya w gx kuat gy, dan masih banyak lagi.
