While it is noble to think of people, animals and the environment, in a capitalist system, unless you are a millionaire, it is not necessarily possible to think of everyone. Instead of getting caught up in existential crisis and anxiety, I can only recommend doing what you can, within reason. It's also okay to treat yourself to something if you've been saving up for it for a long time, for example. If you treat yourself from time to time, it doesn't mean that you can't make a difference in the future when it comes to important political issues such as the environment or animal welfare.

I had one for about 3-4 years.
I maintained it through a lot of communication and visiting each other during weekends. Sharing your daily life and being open about your emotions is key.

My math teacher, because she is a very empathetic person who supported and listened to me during a mentally challenging phase.
My art teacher because she encouraged me as long as she could.
My German teacher because she pulled me out of a class that wasn't good for me mentally at all. She also continuously gave me advice on how to develop my writing skills.
And my music teacher was also very empathetic and encouraged me privately outside of school and put me in an international choir to develop my voice.
