How’s life?
Life’s wild, well about as wild as it can be for a domesticated thirty one year old (wince). Within the span of three months we moved house, I found out my grandfather was dying, I got promoted to a supervisor role at work, I was hospitalised with high blood pressure, my car broke down and wiped out my savings, my partner was hospitalised with pneumonia, my grandfather died and I had to drive 8 hours for his funeral, my partner turned 30 and I gave her a lacklustre celebration because I’d been consumed with work and everything else and I quit my second job as a result. As it stands I now have three days left at said second job after which I’m going to be present at home more which I’m really looking forward to. I did the math on it the other day and and for almost two years now I’ve been lucky to get maybe 2 hours, 2 and half hours a day with my partner during the work week not including sleep. And that’s horrific. Yeah, it was to keep us afloat in this cost of living crisis but I’ll never get that time back and that haunts me.
