What’s the one most important thing to get done today?
this interview and errands
Hi Danny-san >v<) I'm from Sydney, Australia as well (higher chance of stalking-- I mean wut). I'm trying to plan a cosplay photoshoot with my friends, but I don't know where to start ;A; Its the first time I'm photographing people, and I don't know what they might be comfortable with. Any advice?
hello! LOL ;D all is good :D Search up alot of references for poses and what you're trying to aim for and even ask the models/cosplayers and others for advice and what they want or trying to achieve whether natural, dynamic etc. Ask them to send you some links of pics so you can hav an idea what they want and angles etc :)They key thing here is to communicate as a team with the cosplayer, so you both should decide on location, time etc.Plan worst case scenarios as well cos ykno syd weather is jst screwed up. Also you hav to decide on timing of the location, certain times will be peak hour which we generally tend to stay away cos cosplayers feel uneasy when theres alot of general public around.Whilst shooting, take a couple of snaps and show them the preview and ask them if its okay. That way it's easier to fix what needs to be fix.Minimise the use of photoshop and try snap things best as you can. Make sure theres plenty of time for the cosplayers to fix themselves up such as makeup etc. Even tho it's photoshop-able, it's tedious so fix costume and makeup etc. Also as photographer, take notice of things like wig sticking out or fabric not standing or folding right. Feel free ask if u need any more help :DDD
