Will we see some of these awesome colorways (that you have been showing on the Scout) on the Borealis at some point?

Possibly! Although we have a batch of Borealis that are starting assembly today or tomorrow, so it might be a while before we run another batch. -Steve

Have you guys decided on the release date for your new batch of scout? Hope the price for the new ano is still the same

We should have a release date later today! -Steve

Are there advantages to wider and narrower ss rings? It seems like all of the first bimetals had these huge rings and the latest ones have gotten pretty narrow. Does the narrower ring put a higher concentration of weight on the furthest edge?

The point of weight rings is to concentrate the weight distribution more heavily into a specific area. Whether a weight ring is wider or narrower really just depends on where the design wants that weight to be. The first bi-metal ever released had incredibly narrow weight rings, and I've seen a pretty wide variety of designs for metal weight rings in the past 30 years. Return top design is cyclical, and as an industry you'll notice that designs generally have a tendency to run in groups, and then change in groups with player tastes.
Basically, someone is always leading the charge, and most of the time it's the players. So follow the requests/tastes/demands of the players, and you'll find your explanation for most design decisions. -Steve

It's been a while since the movie came out, but what did you think of Kylo Ren's lightsaber?

I really love how much thought went into the design, and the reason for the "hilt" cross bars. Brilliant stuff. -Steve

Can we at least know if the Scout is released within this month?

They were just solicited to retailers last week, so not sure if they will arrive everywhere in time to be released this week. Confirming details with Chris this morning, and pretty sure we will have a release date announced later today. -Steve

Will Cheng be the emcee at worlds this year?

Sorry for the confusion, but this is the CLYW Ask.fm page! If you have questions about Worlds, probably best to either post them on the event page on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/events/1488371458131771/) or emailing through the website (http://www.worlds16.com).
In this case, you would have found the answer if you had simply gone to the event website and looked at the Staff page (http://worlds16.com/staff). -Steve

Should I loop my bearing ?

95% of the time, the answer to any bearing-related question is "leave your bearings alone". -Steve
