The European Championships will be available for the Yeti?
I honestly have no idea. -Steve
I don't get if your going to bash a company at least be man enough to show your name rather then hide in a corner and complain? And did this joker say he had multiple of your guys products, if he didn't like them why'd he keep buying them?
I don't get it either, but since we have absolutely nothing to hide and we stand by our products 100%, I wasn't going to let some anonymous jerkwad strut off into the sunset thinking he "got us" if I deleted his question instead of answering it. I'm generally more inclined to think that dignifying things like that are a total waste of my time, but my wife convinced me otherwise when I read the question out to her. -Steve
Don't know who that hater is, but power to you guys. I have an FG BvM2 and it is nothing but wow. Besides, what's vibe?? I've heard they're like yoyo enhancements? Syrup?
Some people just need to anonymously tear down anything that doesn't actively support their own narrow view of things. Luckily, these people spend all of their time complaining about how other people do things and never do or create anything on their own, so they aren't competition. :) -Steve
Again, that's completely subjective. Most would argue the Puffin 2, I think the Orca beats it for speed. -Steve
How many of it? And when it go? Where? And most important, yeah
Several, and soon and everywhere. Yup. -Steve
Yoyo release list for the new year
We are going to release all the things this year. -Steve
Is the orca a mix between the bonfire and the puffin 2 of so I can't wait
Nope, it's a totally new design. There's a little bit of the inner rim element of the Puffin 2, and the post of the Bonfire, but that's really all we took from those models. Maybe the weight distro from the Puffin 2 just a little? -Steve
What are some failed yoyos you created
They all did pretty well, although we quickly retired some that just totally didn't fit in the line. The Glacier Express spun forever but was just too weird for us. The Bassalope never played as good as we wanted it to, even though I personally still love mine. The Campfire was really successful but we didn't really make any money on it. I dunno...we haven't really had any massive "failures" yet. *knock wood* -Steve
when will (approximately) the next dwi X sourmash X clyw kendama come out? also can you pls spoil the paint job on the tama?!
No idea....Deal With It is handling all of that! -Steve
So i've been playing with my puffin a lot recently and the bearing suddenly got a lot louder and the yoyo is tilting a lot easier. Do you know what the problem is?
Loud bearing means it needs lube. Tilting means you've changed your throw. -Steve
On a scale from 1-10, how solid is the summit
It's made of solid aluminum, so I guess 10? It's not hollow, that would be impossible to machine. -Steve
I'm so happy to hear that the Orca is going to be crazy fast. My style and preferences are moving in that direction, so the timing is perfect! Do you find that your play style still evolves and changes, even after throwing for so many years?
My style has pretty well settled at this point, after 20 years of throwing return tops. Although my tricks are still evolving (albeit much slower these days) and I do enjoy branching out into new styles and types of tricks. -Steve
Where is your shop located?! :D
Orders from our clyw.ca shop all ship from my dining room table in North Olmsted, Ohio. We don't have a physical store front though, if that's what you mean. -Steve
Aaaaaand I bet you won't answer that last question because you know it's true and you have no excuse for the half assed throws you create
You are rude and mean. Good luck with that. -Steve
How come CLYW values there throws more than most any other company but the quality keeps going down? More than half of the CLYW Yoyos have vibe, I find this ridiculous. My opinion is companies like recrev, mfd and q2 that are not very popular are not as expensive and yet I find they are "better"
Actually, our quality has steadily improved over time thanks to the high level of machining quality available to us by having our return tops machined by One Drop. Thanks to them, we've been able to drastically reduce the number of b-grades and manufacturing problems. If you have an issue with one of our return tops having vibe, all of our retailers are under instruction to replace faulty return tops immediately. If you're experiencing vibe in our models repeatedly and this problem isn't being handled immediately, I can only assume you are buying your CLYW second-hand, or just playing with CLYW return tops that belong to other people...and it's pretty insane for you to think that we can guarantee the quality of used return tops. Basically it just sounds like you have an axe to grind with us over our prices, in spite of not having any actual problems...because if you had any actual problems, we'd have taken care of you. Sorry that you're so unhappy. Maybe don't buy our return tops, and instead spend the money on a puppy. -Steve
New bearings usually have a bit of lube in them and can come responsive. So if you play them they will break in an be unresponsive and spin longer. - Chris
