Is it true that all Canadians are happy jolly people that drink maple syrup while playing hockey and their favorite food is poutine?

Pretty much. -Steve

Were some of the splash borealis color ways more limited than others? If so, which did you make the most of and least of?

Harrison Hurricane Fade had the most, with 54 pieces going out to stores. The fewest was Nightfall, with only 6 pieces. -Steve

I'm beyond stoked for your future releases made in China. I haven't had the money to support you guys yet, but am super excited for the cheaper prices on future models. Made in China only means bad if the company doesn't care enough to find a great machining shop.

Thanks for the support!
But making things in China doesn't mean suddenly everything is going to be super cheap. China manufacturing is less expensive in some ways, but quality still costs money. Honestly though, the quality we got from the factories we approached over there is fantastic! The prototypes have all been absolutely flawless! We're looking at a $165 retail (not confirmed, but pretty close) for Andrew and Kurti's bi-metal return tops. Not exactly "budget", but if we tried to make them in North America it would have been over $200. The Big Dipper will retail for about $35, and the new and improved Yeti will be around $45. Those are definitely WAY more affordable than if we tried to make the in North America, but more importantly they are much, much higher quality than we were able to get from the first shop that molded the original Yeti.
We're still kicking around ideas for budget metal return tops, but we haven't settled on anything yet. Still not even sure we're going to do it. Price is always something that has to be considered and dealt with, but 99% of what Chris and I do is try to create stuff that tells an amazing story. CLYW is a living, breathing entity for us and every return top we sell is another moment of life for this company. -Steve

Why do people keep telling you to do a collab with x company when others have asked the same question many (many [many {many}]) times already? As a constant reader for news on this page, it gets pretty annoying to me to see that people spam you with the same things over and over again.

People like to talk more than they like to read. ;) -Steve

I see that there is a Big Dipper page on the site with options that are sold out. When were they for sale? Hopefully I didn't miss out!

We just updated the site so that now it should say "Coming Soon". They haven't been released yet, and won't be ready until January. Previously there was no "Coming Soon" option on our site, so anything not in stock would default to "Sold Out". We fixed that now. :) -Steve

Chris or Steve, Would you ever consider a preorder for new return top. Something like a titanium that many people would want but would be in limited quantities so there is a set number you could get?

We would consider it. Just have to find a specifically good reason to do it, and a nice incentive for people to pre-order. -Steve

Why did Charles Haycock and Jensen leave. Or are they still on the lodge. And we're are they today. Another big question will Charles possibly be attending California state 2016.

They left because they wanted to work on making their own company, which they've done. -Steve

crazy excited to get my borealis, now I just have to wait for u.s.p.s to get it to edmonton and I have a feeling customs is going to be a nightmare around this time of year, I got the horseshoe bay colorway I have never seen that one before is it a new colorway?

Justin Brown
It's recent, but not "new". Seems to be pretty popular, though! -Steve

Blue borealis with no engravings as Zach had at the WYYC. Please! I will 100000% buy it! Ok ?

We'll run blue eventually, but it will have engravings. -Steve

Should I expect the Big Dipper to perform almost identical to the Borealis?

No, you should expect the Big Dipper to perform like a super awesome plastic return top that is based on the design of the Borealis.
If we could make a plastic return top that performed nearly identically to metal return tops, we would be bajillionaires, instead of what we are now which is hundredaires. -Steve

The only CLYW's I own are the Summit and a couple Yeti's. I'm looking to get another at some point. Is the Borealis a good jumping in point or would you recommend going for the Chief when another run is made? I know you've said the Chief is sort of your flagship throw.

The Borealis is amazing. It's fantastic for tricks that need long spins or for learning new tricks. The Summit is floaty similar to the Chief and Bonfire. If you're looking for something different from us then I'd definitely go with the Borealis or even the Orca. Those two will help give you a better taste about what we're all about. Hope that info helps! -Chris

Any upcoming new one? New yoyo, new colas or anything? Dying for something fresh

Just dropped the Borealis, that's pretty fresh. Big Dipper (plastic, based on Borealis) is coming in January, new version of the Yeti should be available in March/April.
Blizzard (bi-metal for Andrew Maider) should be coming in January/February, and new bi-metal for Kurti should be available March/April.
Working on signatures for Yuuki and Riccardo, an updated version of the Sasquatch for 2016, and plenty more. -Steve

I'm a fan of organic shaped throws. What does CLYW have that fits into that category that is currently available or will be available in the near future? Thanks!

We have some stuff we're working on, but no timeline of when it will be available. -Steve
